Ninjago: The Yellow Ninja

Chapter 3: The Yellow Ninja.

Today marked Chloe's 3rd week staying on the Bounty. She and Lloyd had gotten closer and were rarely seen apart. This made the others slightly suspicious. Especially Cole. So, he decided to follow them around. As soon as they woke up, to when they fell asleep. To his annoyance, he didn't find anything. Mainly because being the Master of Earth, he had huge footsteps. Which meant that they could hear him very clearly. 

'So?' Jay asked when Cole stepped into their cabin. Cole simply shook his head. Lloyd wasn't there so the four of them including Nya took advantage. 

'Aw man! I really thought those two were up to something!' Nya sighed. 

'Me too.' Jay said. 'But, I guess nothing was going on in the first place.' He said. 

'I might have a suggestion.' Zane said. The others turned to him. 

'What suggestion?' Kai asked. 

'Instead of following them, why don't we have PIXAL and Nya ask Chloe if she has feeling for Lloyd, and Cole and I will ask Lloyd.' There was a silence. Everyone seemed to be registering what their Nindroid friend had just said. 

'That..... is the best idea I have ever heard!' 

'Why didn't you say so?'

'Who knew Zane was good at this sort of stuff?' 

'Then let us begin.' Cole said rubbing his hands in anticipation just as Chloe had done. 

Everyone was smiling when Lloyd barged into the room.

'Hey guys, Master Wu called a meeting.' He said. They all groaned. Chloe popped up from behind him. 

'Something about the yellow ninja.' When they heard that everyone except Nya ran out of the room. Lloyd following. The water ninja thought that this was the perfect opportunity to ask Chloe about her feelings for Lloyd. 

'Hey, Chloe there's something I need to ask you.' She said. Chloe, who was about to leave to follow them, turned round. 

'What is it Nya?' She asked. 

'Well, I've been thinking. You and Lloyd are always together so I thought maybe you think of Lloyd differently than the rest of us?' Nya mentally slapped herself. That was the dumbest and most stupid way of asking a girl that. Chloe looked blank. 

In Chloe's mind algorithms were going on. Should she tell the truth or should she save herself from getting a kick by Cole? 

'What makes you think that?' She asked trying her best to hide her blush.

'You two are always together. And you saved him from Empress Stone 3 weeks ago.' Nya pointed out.

 'True.'

'And I saw you guys holding hands when there was this silence. And you putting your head on his  shoulder.' 

'Y-you saw that?' Chloe stammered. Nya nodded.

'Well, that may have happened, but Lloyd's just my best friend. Nothing more than that.' She said. 

'That's what I said for Jay. Yet here we are...' Nya said. Chloe sighed. Maybe she did have feeling for Lloyd. But she had to save those thoughts for later. Master Wu was waiting for them. 

'Come on. Master Wu's waiting for us.' Nya and Chloe were soon climbing up the stairs. Everyone was staring at her. Nya walked towards Jay and whispered something in his ear. He whispered back. Nya them made an 'oh' shape with her mouth. 

'Uh, why's everyone staring at me?' Chloe asked.

''Chloe, Master Wu wants you to fight with me.' Lloyd said fiddling with his fingers.

'W-what? B-but I don't know any moves!' Chloe stammered. 

'I'll go easy on you.' Lloyd said. 

'Thanks, but why should I spar with Lloyd?' Chloe asked. 

'You'll see.' Wu said. 

'Oookaay...' Chloe said. They were soon on the training course and in position. 

'If I accidentally punch you in the face you won't have any hard feeling, right?' Chloe asked. 

'Never.' Lloyd said. 

Chloe smiled. Cole who was going to start the fight was talking to Lloyd. 

'Do anything to my sister and you are getting a months supply of chilly.' Cole said pointing a threatening finger. Lloyd winced and Chloe chuckled. Her brother good be a real pain, but she still loved him. 

Once Cole had finished talking to him, he got in between them. 

'Ready... set... NINJA-GO!' he somersaulted backwards and they began to fight.

Chloe sent a kick to his head but Lloyd grabbed her feet, and threw her backwards. She spun and landed on her feet. Through the side of her eyes she could see Kai and Jay gaping while Cole was stuttering. 

She smiled to herself and saw Lloyd running towards her. She flew under his legs sand ended up behind him. She kicked him in the center of his spine and he flew forwards stumbling. 

'Oh it's on.' He said creating a ball of green energy in his hands. He sent it flying towards Chloe but before she could dodge it began to hover in front of her with a layer of light surrounding it. 

'Wha-?' Lloyd said gaping at his ball. 

'Was that supposed to happen?' Chloe asked staring at the ball. 

'That isn't normal right?' Cole asked. 

'It is for the Yellow Ninja.' Wu said. 

'What? Are you saying that I'm the Yellow Ninja? That's baloney.' Chloe said. But Wu ignored her. 

'Ninja, send a ball of your element at her.' Wu said plainly as if this was a laughing matter.

The ninja seemed reluctant. Cole however wasn't. He was the first to send a huge amount of earth towards Chloe and it hovered in front of her making the light even brighter. 

'Woah.' He said. 

Jay and Kai sent their elements along with Zane and Nya. The same thing happed with them until Nya's hit her. 

Chloe was engulfed in a ball of light and it was so bright that everyone covered their eyes. After a few seconds she hovered down eyes closed in a beautiful yellow ninja gi. Exactly like Lloyd's. She landed softly in her feet and opened her eyes. She gasped at her new appearance. And Lloyd was staring at her mouth wide open. But the one thing that changed the most in her was her hair. Instead of blond mixed with black, it was blond mixed with yellow. The exact same yellow as her gi.

'What the?' She asked touching a yellow strand of hair.

'Chloe is the yellow ninja.' 

'All this time it was her.' Lloyd said as he got up. 

'Chloe, you are the Master of Light and the Legendary Yellow Ninja. Do you want to train as a Ninja and learnt how to control your powers as well as the sacred art of Spinjitzu?' Wu asked her his deep eyes staring into hers. 

'I... I do.' She said. Lloyd fist-pumped into the air and gave Chloe a hug so tight her ribs almost broke. 

'Haha! Ok, Lloyd, stop!' She said. 

'My little sis is the yellow ninja!' Cole said hugging Chloe. 

'Yeah Cole. Now can you stop hugging me? I need to breathe.' She said slapping his arm. It's harder than it looks. 

'We are gonna have so much fun!' Jay yelled. 

Chloe knew how much fun she was going to have. But the best part? The best part was she would be with her big brother. And especially her best friend Lloyd. Who would've then thought that this friendship would blossom into something much more beautiful?
