36. Silent Longing.

It's been a week since their trip, and y/n has truly become the cherished child of the family. All seven of the boys adore her, making her the most loved and endearing member of the family. She radiates an angelic aura, capturing everyone's hearts.

Yoongi and Namjoon had already visited the academy where she would be joining. As much as they wanted to tutor her, their work commitments made it challenging, and they recognized the importance of professional guidance to help her catch up on her studies.

Today was going to be a very important yet crucial day for y/n. Because jin and yoongi were going to take her to get introduced to her therapist and she would be undergoing a test of her voice box to confirm if there were any possibilities of her regaining her voice , her ability to speak like normally like she was born with.

Jin was gently feeding y/n, aware of her nervousness. Taehyung, Yoongi, and Jin were accompanying her to the hospital. Y/n would return home with Taehyung, while Jin and Yoongi planned to return in the evening after finishing their shifts. Y/n's anxiety was palpable through her expressions, and everyone in the family could sense it.

In the car, they settled with Taehyung and Jin in the front seats, while Yoongi sat in the back next to y/n. She clung tightly to Yoongi's arm, seeking comfort. Yoongi responded by gently rubbing the back of her hand, assuring her that he was right there with her.

In the hospital examination room, y/n sat nervously on the examination table, surrounded by Taehyung, Yoongi, and Jin. The specialist, a middle-aged man in a white coat, prepared to run a physical exam on her. She was visibly anxious, her eyes filled with apprehension.

The specialist began the examination, carefully checking her vitals and asking her to open her mouth and say "ah." Y/n complied, but her voiceless cry was met with a sympathetic look from the doctor. He then gestured for her to try and speak. Y/n took a deep breath and attempted to speak, but all that came out was a strained, raspy sound. Tears welled up in her eyes, and she clutched her throat as it stung from the effort.

Yoongi, Jin, and Taehyung watched her in distress, their expressions reflecting a mix of concern and empathy. The doctor attached a device to her neck to monitor any vibrations in her vocal cords, but it showed no significant activity.

The specialist looked at y/n and spoke gently, "It's okay, y/n. We're here to help you. This is just the beginning of your journey towards recovery. We'll work together to bring your voice back."

Y/n, still teary-eyed, nodded in acknowledgment, feeling the support of her family, even though she couldn't voice her gratitude.

With the preliminary tests completed, the specialist informed them that there was one more test to be conducted. He left the examination room momentarily, leaving y/n feeling emotionally drained and in physical discomfort. She buried her face in Yoongi's chest, tears streaming down her cheeks.

Yoongi held her gently, his hand running soothingly up and down her back, providing her with a comforting presence. Her throat was throbbing with pain, and she clung to him, finding solace in his embrace. Taehyung and Jin, equally concerned, remained by her side, offering their unwavering support.

They knew that the road to y/n's recovery was going to be challenging, but they were determined to stand by her, every step of the way, no matter how difficult the journey might be.

In the doctor's office, Yoongi and Jin sat down to discuss y/n's condition. They had known the specialist for years, sharing a close professional relationship. The doctor, aware of Yoongi's and Jin's roles at the hospital, began to inquire about y/n's condition.
