Odessa was plump and annoyed. She tried to busy herself with a new lyre viserys gifted her. She rested it on her stomach balancing it as she strummed away. She hoped the baby was enjoying such finery she assumed once the babe came it would suck her dry of her enegy for a few moons.
Viserys smiled listening in the doorway before ophelia came up behind him giving him quite the fright.
"Lia. You scared me." Viserys admitted.
"Quiet as a mouse." Ophelia agreed. "When are you going to marry my mother? I would like to be a princess." Viserys smiled down at her reaching out a gentle hand he gave her shoulder a little squeeze.
"When your mother is back on her feet. You know her, she wants to walk down the aisle. She wants to be glowing. Wants everything just right and I want whatever she wants."
"Smart." Ophelia agreed. "How did you know you loved my mum? How do you know you are in love, I'm assuming you are."
"I am very much in love with your mother." Viserys agreed.
"Well?" Ophelia questioned.
"I realize that I don't want to find someone that I can live with. I need to find someone that I can't live without."
"And that's mum." Ophelia realized.
"yes, that is your mother, without a doubt in my mind." Viserys agreed. "I honestly don't know how I survived this long without her."
"Viserys I need to get out of this room!" Ophelia begged.
"Rhaenyra totally has the hots for you." Orion decided as he fiddled with his bullets. "Damnit."
"Not smooth enough?" Gendry questioned. "Too big?"
"What do you mean? What do you know?" Ollivander demanded. "Did she say something?"
"I know about your lessons." Orion agreed. "We need to adjust the shape. The diameter the curve of the tip..."
"Alright. Let me try something." Gendry agreed as he moved to the mold heating it up again to reform it.
"Shes teaching me high valyrian." Ollivander reminded his brother
"You know shes going to be our sister."
"Half sister and why deprive her of all this?" Ollivander countered.
"When is aunt odessa getting married?" alicent questioned her father.
"After the babe comes." Otto answered.
"Oh... and when will that be?"
"When the baby is good and ready." Otto replied.
"Can I be in the wedding? Help aunt odessa?" Alicent asked eagerly.
"Im sure she would love that." Otto agreed.
"I dont need a babysitter ser." Odessa grumbled.
"Kings orders. Sorry my lady." The knight answered. Odessa looked him over as she shifted in bed. She perched her hands on her stomach watching him. He was a tall and muscled man. Dark hair dark eyes and a scruffy beard. Reminded her a little bit of her late husband.
"What was your name ser?"
"Harwin Strong my lady." He answered.
"Strong." She agreed. "You look like you could break someones bones with an easy snap." Harwin chuckled. "So charming you are. A fine knight. You just started?"
"Yes. My father and I came from Harenhal. Hes looking for a position on the council. I found my spot on the guard." Harwin agreed. "Didnt think I would be protecting such a lovely woman right off the bat."
"Well the king myst trust you. See potential in you. Because im his most valuable patient." Odessa assured. "Can you fetch me some more tea ser harwin?" She glanced to her tea cup.
"Are you going to try and escape again?" Harwin countered. Odessa pursed her lips. "The king warned me not to fall for your charms."
"Yet you have already fallen." Odessa purred. Harwin chuckled but didnt budge "fine fine. Then you can help me to the gardens."
"Damnit!" Orion muttered as he pulled the trigger.
"What the fucks your problem? Aiming that at me!" Ollivander hissed shoving his brother back.
"It doesnt work."
"And if it did?" Ollivander sassed.
"You probably would have been fine. Maybe a hole in your arm," orion offered nonchalantly.
"I like my arms!" Ollivander declared.
"What are you thinking Orion?" Gendry questioned. Orion examined the shooter.
"Im going to take it apart and out it back together again." Orion decided. "Thanks for your help gendry."
"What good will that do?" Ollivander countered.
"I built this thing. I wont give up on it until it works." Orion remarked. "My inventions work. There is no middle ground no in between. I dont fail. I refuse to fail."
"Who's that?" ophelia questioned as a guard passed.
"New knight. Ser Harwin Strong I believe." Viserys answered. Ophelia stared at him intrigued. Viserys chuckled. "Dont go falling in love while your mother is bed ridden." Viserys requested.
"Who said anything about love? He's gorgeous though."
