Chapter 18 Escape

//Eren POV//

"AHH!" Eren shouted as he slammed his fist on the prisoner's head, knocking him unconscious.

"Who is this guy?!" they shouted as they rush in to attack Eren but were either shot down by the sleeping darts or tackled by the officers that joined the fight. As for Eren, his earpiece received once again a call from his sister, Mikasa.

At first, he ignored the call but to ignore it a second time is a bad idea with Mikasa. So he answered the phone...

"H-Hey...Mikasa." Eren panted as he drop kicks a Titan prisoner.

"Eren, you sound tired? You ok?" she asked him. Eren realized that she didn't know where he was and what he was doing. He didn't want Mikasa to get involved in this because of her still healing ribs.

"J-Just...playing football...right now I'm taking a break..." he lied.

"Me and Jean are home and-" he heard her stop there. He ignored it for a second as he made his way around the prisoners to help the officers. He grabbed one prisoner from behind and threw him at the others. When he tried to hear what she was saying, he heard nothing. But he realized, she was only like that if he was doing something dangerous...

"Um...Mikasa?" he asked to hear her nervously.

"Eren...you're on the news." She responded with no emotion to her voice.

"Well...I can explain-"

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING IN A PRISON!!" she shouted through the phone.

"Mikasa, I didn't know this was going to happen, ok." He said as he grappled to the walls as the chaos was dying off.

"Cameras are trained on you, Eren. You need to leave." She ordered him. She then hanged up and he listen to her order.

"I know but where?" he shouted as he hears gunshots behind him. But at that very moment, he saw a car, a black mustang, driving through the dirt towards the wall he was on. The car stopped and dust covered the driver for him to see.

"Jaeger!" he heard someone shout. He turns around to see Reiner towards him and stop beside him. "We need to leave."

"As if I got something! I can't use my gear out here!" Eren shouted at him. But Reiner's attention wasn't on him anymore. It was on the car below.

"Uh...Eren. Holy...shit! You have got to be kidding me!" Reiner cried out while laughing.

"What?" Eren asked as he followed his gaze to the car. He drop dead stood there surprised to see who the driver was as she exited the car.

ANNIE?!

//Annie POV//

---30 Minutes Earlier---

"Dad, sorry!" Annie shouted as she took the keys from him and ran out of the clinic. She jumped into the car and drove off, once again ignoring his shouts.

Earlier she decided to go back to the clinic where her father stood confused. She knew that simply talking to Eren wasn't enough, she never believe that. So she realized what to do. She would rather risk her safety and life to rescue her boyfriend.

She once took her driving test once but failed. But she knew the ropes to drive and she was off to the prison. Passing by her were police vehicles with their sirens on. She drove slowly after them, and that was when she received a phone call from her father. She grabbed her phone and answered it.

"Dad, look, I can expla-"

"Explain what?! Annie! You took the car and you don't have a license! What are you thinking?!" he shouted through the phone.
