here we go again - the neighbourhood
"you say you want it to be great again,
but it was never that way to begin with"

he was running.
running like a race dog when meat was placed in front of them, eyes watching him keenly in entertainment, following him as he sprinted through the quiet city.
he should've taken into account the amount of distance he would need to travel in order to escape them. it was careless of him to sprint off like an olympic runner. he should've paced himself, run more like a stumbling, chubby dog when it's in need of its morning cuddles.
his muscles ached, but his lungs did not. they were only for show anyway. being a vampire had it's perks i guess.
finally he stumbled across a dark house surrounded by a familiar wooden fence.
the gate hung open, almost as if it were begging him to come home. so he did.
he dove for the gate, shutting it the moment he was through.
the thundering of footsteps passed by him, he let out a sigh of relief, slumping against the gate.
"woo?"
he tensed up, looking through the thin gap in the fence to see the silhouette of a lanky boy.
"wooyoung? are you there? please come out."
it was whispered softly, the silhouette didn't want the hybrids in his group to pick up the conversation.
"i'm sorry, woo. really."
and with that, the somewhat tall figure disappeared, running after the thundering footsteps that had long since left the street.
why was he apologising?
