jeongin and seungmin stepped through the door, and immediately, the room seemed to shift. the energy was already buzzing, with hyunjin lounging around on the floor with a brown haired human and two cat hybrids. it wasn't like seungmin and jeongin knew them well; in fact, they didn't know them at all. hyunjin had invited them to this gathering on a whim, and jeongin, in his usual energetic fashion, had begged seungmin to come along.
jeongin's long black hair was braided back, though a few strands hung loose, framing his face. he looked over at seungmin's cherry red hair and striking red eyes, knowing their odd pairing would draw attention. a vampire and an elf in the same room — it wasn't something you saw every day.
the moment they stepped inside, hyunjin's black hair bounced into view as he practically sprinted toward them, his energy bounding off the walls. "oh my god, you came!" he beamed, his wide smile nearly blinding them. "i can't believe it! told you they were real."
jeongin's excitement immediately matched hyunjin's. it was like they'd been friends forever with how easily their energies clicked. "of course we did!" jeongin laughed, his pointed ears twitching slightly. "you invited us afterall."
hyunjin's laugh was infectious, and they were both bouncing on the spot like kids hyped up on sugar. seungmin, meanwhile, stood off to the side, his expression calm, though his lips curled ever so slightly at the corners. he couldn't help but find the whole thing endearing, even if he preferred to stay on the quieter side of things.
"come on in!" one of the hybrids called from the couch, his ginger hair a wild mess. "sit down, make yourselves at home. hyunjin can be a lot, but he's harmless."
the other hybrid, who had been lounging beside the ginger, gave a small nod, while jisung offered a shy smile. none of them really knew jeongin or seungmin, but the atmosphere was casual enough that it didn't feel awkward.
jeongin practically dove onto the couch next to felix, eyes twinkling as he took everything in. "this is already so fun!" he beamed. "is this everyone, or are there more coming?"
"there's two more," the ginger replied, leaning back against the couch. "they'll be here soon."
"okay, introductions!" hyunjin exclaimed, clapping his hands together with enthusiasm, his black hair swaying as he bounced on the spot. "everyone, listen up! these two lovely beings are new to our little gathering, and i want them to feel super welcome."
jeongin looked over at hyunjin, who was practically glowing with excitement, and couldn't help but smile.
hyunjin grinned back at him, waving him forward as he stepped out of the way.
jeongin was the first to speak, always ready to introduce himself. "i'm jeongin," he said, stepping forward a little. "i'm an elf, as you can probably tell." he tilted his head to the side slightly, his long black braids shifting as he did, revealing his pointed ears. "i love exploring the city and trying new things, and i'm really happy to be here."
"an elf?" the ginger said, perking up from where he sat on the couch. his hair fell messily across his forehead as he leaned forward, intrigued. "that's awesome. i've never seen one in real life."
"yeah, we tend to keep to ourselves," jeongin admitted with a grin.
hyunjin looked at seungmin expectantly. "and what about you, oh quiet one?"
