sharp blood-red eyes swept across the bookshelf in an unfocused, uninterested way. seungmin's reason for being in the library was purely a sense of pastime. he had hours of doing nothing ahead of him, why not spend it reading a good book?
so far, his attempts of finding a good book were in vain, he could not for the life of him find a book that wasn't some factual science book, non-fictional picture books that depicted the interesting parts and lifestyles of animals, or in a language seungmin had no hopes of understanding. perhaps, if he had stayed in his village for a couple years more, he would have learned a few languages more than the 4 he already knew.
seungmin pulled out a green hard cover book decorated with silver raised bands on the spine. he sighed as he leaned on the bookshelf, flicking it open to the first page. it was a dictionary. a fucking dictionary.
seungmin scoffed, slamming it shut and moving to shove it back on the shelf only to meet a pair of gorgeous ruby-red eyes. he jumped back in fright, not expecting to see someone staring right at him through the bookshelf.
seungmin put the dictionary back in its place. he moved along to the next section, searching for a new book, eventually seeing one that caught his interest. he pulled out the purple hard cover book, and opened it to the first page. the text was in german.
"shit," he mumbled, disappointed in his findings.
seungmin's eyes lifted from the page to the shelf, once again meeting those shining ruby eyes that bore into his. he tilted his head in confusion, chuckling quietly when the eyes disappeared, the person moving along the other side of the shelf. he put the book back on the shelf before moving in the same direction as the stranger. he pulled a book out, finding those same eyes that seemed to be surprised that seungmin had found them first this time.
the stranger hurriedly hid behind a book of their own, placing it where seungmin's came from. seungmin placed his book in the next open spot he could see, walking to the end of the shelf and rounding the corner to meet the stranger.
it was a boy, a vampire, wrapped up in a leather jacket that was tight around his biceps. loose, black ripped jeans hung from his waist, covering his black, platform boots. a dark grey shirt tucked into the jeans in a casual manner, probably to make easy access to the large pockets that were decorating the higher parts of the fabric. he had curly, dark blue hair that dangled in front of his ruby-red eyes. it was quite a contrast, a surprise to see this muscly, laid-back boy in a leather jacket picking out books from what was supposedly the 'fiction' section of the library.
the boy stared back at him, mustering seungmin's lanky frame covered by a black shirt three times his size, denim jeans that touched the floor and covered most of his converse, a shoulder bag with a long strap that clung to the edge of seungmin's shoulder like it's life depended on it. seungmin's soft, shiny cherry red hair that was too long, constantly to be pushed back by his hand when he ran it through his hair. his blood-red eyes that bore into the stranger's soul as said stranger very obviously checked him out.
the stranger took a few steps closer to seungmin, standing right in front of him and sticking his hand out, "changbin, what's your name?"
seungmin placed his hand in his, shaking hands lightly as he replied, "seungmin."
