minho woke up with a start, the sun shining through the crack in between the curtains and into his eyes. soft hands coming up to push his wispy brown hair away from his eyesight. he groaned as he tiredly rolled out of his bed, a soft thud indicating his fall onto the floor. he reached for his phone, gently pulling out the charging cord before unlocking the phone.
almost immediately, a message from chrissy <3 popped up at the top of his screen, leaving minho to excitedly tap on it, sitting up rigidly when he saw the text.
chrissy <3
do you wanna go to the skating rink again this afternoon?
my treat
minho squealed, hugging his phone to his chest and rolling around on the floor like his clothes were on fire. he hurriedly stood up, calmly typing a reply before pulling his uniform and some spare clothes out of his closet. he got dressed, stuffed his clothes, headphones, laptop, and school books into his bag before speeding down the stairs, not forgetting to thud his fist on his younger brother's door just in case the younger hadn't woken up yet.
a muffled yell behind him indicated that the boy had been awake and was now chasing the tabby cat hybrid down the stairs and into the living room/dining room where their parents waited with small grins on their faces.
"make sure you eat before you leave boys," their father sternly said with his hands on his hips, earning a slap to the arm from their mother due to his mocking tone.
the boys retreated to the kitchen, felix raiding the cupboard as minho sat down at one of the bar stools that were found on one side of the island bench.
"do you want anything, min?"
minho shook his head, "i've got a muesli bar, i'll eat it at school."
felix just looked at him before pulling a muesli bar from the cupboard, leaving minho to sigh as he slipped it into his bag.
"please don't lie, min, you know better than that."
minho rose from the chair and rounded the bench to wrap the pouty ginger cat hybrid in a tight, squeezy hug, "i'm sorry lix, i try my best."
"i know min."

jisung's day had not been at all eventful.
he'd started the day with math and ended it with science. it was a terrible day for no reason other than the fact that it was boring.
he had been tackled to the ground by his gorgeous, black-haired siren, his best friend despite the glares he would get for simply standing next to a creature of such monstrosity. jisung didn't believe in discrimination against something you can't control, especially since hyunjin was almost brought to tears every time a wasp, bee, mosquito, big dog, angry tall boy, bitchy popular girl, bear, spider, stingray, shark, snake, disdainful mum, disappointed dad, an eyesore of colour, or screaming child was seen in as much as his peripheral vision, let alone actually kill a person.
hyunjin was a soft soul. he didn't deserve the stares and comments that got to him easier than either of them would like to admit. there had been many circumstances where hyunjin had called jisung while crying in the middle of the night, or where jisung would find him tucked up in the corner of the gym's storage room.
