We went to my room, both Will and I with a muffin (or in Wills case, muffins) to finish our converation. The whole time my brain was trying to figure out why my dad would be in some strange brain message.

I figured Avery had some answers, but judging by her determined walk and quietness she wasn't sharing until we got to my room.

When we did arrive at my room, she opened my door and went right in, no questions. Will and I followed and found her sitting on one of the beds.
"Avery, what's up?" I asked.

"Nothing. It's really not that big of a deal." She responded.

"Did you know Aiden is here?" She said out of no where.

"Um, no."

"I forgot to mention it." She shrugged.
"What does this have to do with anything, Avery?" Will said angrily. His face was calm, but his voice deceived him.

"Nothing, really." Avery yawned, as if she were bored.

"Ok, if this is about my dad, first tell me how he is, and if he knows where I am." I said.

"Well, we made this whole plan... let me start from the beginning. Once upon a time, long ago-"

"Get on with it!" Will shouted.

Avery sighed. "Why don't you sit down?" She looked at me.

Will was already sitting. "I'm good." I said.

Avery didn't look like she wanted to be here, like she would rather have the gift of invisibilty right now. She spoke anyway. "While you were asleep, after you had woken up from your three day nap, your dad and I both knew they had made their desicion. He was hitting you. He was abusing you. And your dad talked to me about how he was worried they were going to take you away from him. You were almost eighteen, so it wasn't that big of a deal, but your dad wouldn't hear of it. He wouldn't let it happen. He was worried about it. So I told him about how there is an institute for special people like him. His eyes were litterally as big as saucers when he realized I knew his secret. It's not like he knew what I was, he barely knew what he was. I'm good at telling if people have Flairs because I can read minds, and if you are included enough in this world sometimes you can sense that other people have Flairs. But I explained. I told him he could come too, but he decided not to, because he did have a business to run and it would've been considered kidnapping if he went with us. Even if it was by your own freewill. The police would immidiantly think he kidnapped his own kid. He decided that once you got better, I should take you to the institute. But you wouldn't be healed by the time they took you. I told him that wasn't a problem. He believed me when I told him that Luck was someone who could help and that he was the best healer. I also told him that I suspected you were a mind reader and that was the reason you heard voices when you were little."

She took a deep breath and avoided looking at me. "We left after you were healed, and your dad couldn't bare to be there. He was so... sad looking. He looked so vulnerable. It was about your dad. From this guy. I know what he looks like, but I don't know his name. He said that..." She paused, looking uncertain.

"What, Avery?" I pleaded, worried about him.

"Well, you know about the other people? The people we are going against in this stupid war?" She asked.

No. "Yes." I said.

They don't have him.

"They have him."

I don't know how I ended up on the floor. Crouched down, unable to support my own weight anymore. My knees were jello, my joints aching. My insides were churning and everything was a blur. I was vaguely aware that someone had there arms around me. They felt strong, must be Will. I can faintly hear someone saying something. My name? What is my name? Emma. Yes, someone is definitly saying my name. I still didn't react to it though. I couldn't. My whole body wasn't not under my command anymore. My dad, taken. Why? Why would they take him?
