Zayn’s POV
I pulled up outside Danayi’s house and sent a text to inform her I was here. She warned me that her mum was home so I wasn’t allowed to knock on the door. I couldn’t help but worry about Danayi whenever she went home, her relationship with her mum was horrendous and I could never get my head around how unaffected by it she was. She never seemed upset or angry, unless her mum had done something to really piss her off. I had only known Danayi a few weeks but I knew a lotabout her. She was one of the most interesting and funniest people I had ever met, not to mention she was beyond stunning. The door opened and Danayi emerged in the frame, it was obvious by her body language that she was arguing with somebody as she exited the house. The door slammed and her eyes met mine causing a smile to spread across her face. She was dressed in light skin tight jeans, a lace baggy white top and black doc’s. Her hair was curly and she wore minimum make up looking absolutely flawless.
‘Hello.’ She said high pitched as she jumped into the car. I leaned across and kissed her softly and give her a quick smile.
‘You look lovely.’ I said as my eyes scanned her body. I felt like I needed to resist myself every time I was with her, if I had it my way my hands would never leave her skin. As we drove the route to my family home we chatted with each other, I didn’t want to put her in a bad mood but I was desperate to know what had happened with her mum.
‘Was your mum angry that you were going out?’ I asked while keeping my eyes on the road.
‘Yeah, she wanted me to make Denzel his dinner.’ She replied as she picked at her nails that were painted baby blue.
‘Can she not do that?’ I questioned. I just didn’t understand why her mum didn’t feel the need to look after her children instead of them looking after themselves. She laughed at my question.
‘Of course not. She’s going to David’s.’ She said, mocking his name as she spoke. ‘Denzel is staying at Sahara’s tonight anyway.’ She stared out the window and I rested my hand on her knee. We arrived at the house and climbed out of each side of the car, the look on Danayi’s face told she was feeling slightly nervous.
‘It’ll be okay, I’m here.’ I reassured her. She gave me a weak smile and griped onto my hand as we walked to the front door. We entered inside and immediately loud laughs could be heard from the living room. I brought Danayi inside where my older sister Doniya, her boyfriend Aiden and my dad were sat. They greeted Danayi and me instantly but I knew she had been worried about meeting my older sister.
‘I finally get to meet you after missing you last week!’ She exclaimed as she walked towards Danayi and wrapping her arms around her. A breath of relief left my mouth as I realised she was going to be nice. Doniya and I were very close, we knew everything about each other and her opinion meant everything to me. If she doesn’t like somebody she will show it in the way she talks to them within minutes of knowing them, so the fact she was pleasant to Danayi settled me. I don’t think anybody quite understands what she means to me, not even I know myself. She’s different to all the other girls I ever knew and I always swore relationships weren’t for me after the whole Taylor mishap but Danayi changed my mind on that. I was desperate to make her my girlfriend but I needed some sort of sign from her that she was ready; I didn’t want her to reject me twice. Doniya pulled Danayi into the kitchen where my mum and other sisters were. I felt nervous about her going in by herself but she gave me a quick smile to ensure she was okay. I stayed in the living room with my dad and Aiden, who was more like my brother than anything.
‘Well this is a big deal Zayn, bringing a girl round to meet the fam and she’s staying for dinner.’ Aiden joked as he nudged my ribs.
‘Aww leave the boy alone, he’s fallen hard.’ My dad said making Aiden and him chuckle loudly.
