Something was wrong with her son. No, not physically. Well, actually, yes, very much physically since Bendy did have a giant crater in his face.

But, he was also clearly mentally unwell. That became clear when they arrived home

"I think I'm just gonna go to bed," Bendy had said, already walking away. It was only 5 pm. He normally went to bed at 12.

She put a hand on his shoulder, "Not so fast," she crouched down to his level, "I can't stop you from going to bed, you must be very tired after all. But, your bandages are almost completely black. We'll change them, I'll put a cover on your bed so you can't stain it, and then you can go to bed, alright?"

Her son nodded wearily. They both went to the bathroom and she got the bandages out. Bendy had already started taking off the bandages. She didn't say anything, knowing it wouldn't do any good, but she was still horrified at what was under the bandages.

The fact she hadn't been told was outrageous. Especially since it was still bleeding. She just hoped this was during his last battle and that he no longer had to fight afterwards.

After everything was over with, that being the bandaging and covering the bed, she said goodnight to her son and closed the door. Her husband, Ryuuto, was waiting for her in the living room.

"It doesn't seem like either of them had a good day today, huh?", he sighed.

"Well, it seems like Bendy is just exhausted from trying to recover from his injury," she lied, "But did anything seem wrong with Momo?"

He crossed his arms, "She seemed so disappointed. Poor girl must've lost badly"

Emiko crossed her arms and sighed softly, "Maybe we should watch the festival to see what happened. It's not like either of them seemed thrilled to indulge"

"You're right, I'll go find the recording"

He got up and fiddled around with the remote until he found a channel about to begin a rerun of the festival. With that out of the way, the couple sat down and watched.

At first, nothing seemed wrong. They were both doing great, especially Bendy! He was practically on top. Hell, for the entire festival he was. But as she watched more, she knew exactly why he wasn't all that happy.

Sadly, Momo ended up losing in the first round of the tournament. Granted, it was hard work even getting there in the first place, but she understood why her daughter might feel like a failure for losing in the first round.

But, her son was still in the game despite a bizarre first round. But what she saw during that second round angered her to her core.

She couldn't even be mad at the teachers because they at least intervened, but... Wait, yes she can! How the hell did this girl not get in any trouble after praying against her son?! Surely that must fall under some kind of discriminatory law!

No wonder he was upset, she was furious and it hadn't even happened to her! She didn't know what that girl was saying, but it seemed to hurt Bendy...

...Deep inside, she knew it wasn't because of his quirk that he was being hurt.

The next battle went pretty well. The one with Bakugo, someone who she knew Bendy had gone to middle school with, seemed to be where he got the injury,
