Chapter 19: BBB (Before Bendy's Battle)

The cavalry battle was quite strange.

For starters, the people who had gotten in the finals weren't that surprising.

They hadn't announced the results yet, but it was quite obvious.

Bendy's team was in first place. Turns out that Team Izuku's (composed of Izuku, Ochako, the support student, and Tokoyami) were pretty fierce opponents. But not fierce enough to beat them.

Todoroki had locked the two teams inside an ice barrier, but they always avoided them.

Eventually,the team's leader had signaled to Bendy to just speed ahead. And after enough anticipation, he had sprung forward.

Bendy hadn't calculated the speed he went at. But Momo estimated it to be around 80 km/hr (or 49.71 mph).

"How the hell did you do that?! It isn't even your quirk?!" Kaminari yelled.

Todoroki however, wasn't as impressed, "You could've gone faster.", he said straight.

Bendy panted, "My quirk isn't speed, Todoroki-san, it's cartoon logic. And you try doing anything in these hell shoes!", he looked at the shoes, wondering how girls can walk on platform shoes, "Hey Momo, how fast was I going?"

She looked at the sky and put a finger to her chin, "I'd say it was around 80km/hr. That's around the speed of a car on a main road going fairly quick."

"No, but seriously, how did you do that?!" Kaminari yelled once again.

"I don't really know. My quirk's odd that way."

Todoroki was still not convinced, "I still find that you could've been faster."

"Didn't you get me on the team because my head could fit a lot of headbands? And you didn't use me for that, so why didn't you get Iida on your team instead?!"

The boy looked down, "I thought maybe you'd be faster than him since you don't have any true limits."

"Oh."

Bendy kinda felt bad for Iida. He ended up going on a team with a class 1-B member, his name was something like Shoda Nirengeki, and they both lost. The team had done pretty well, Iida's speed and the other boy's hitting power made a good matchup. But they definitely needed to be part of other teams.

It kinda felt like the demon had stolen Iida's spot and spotlight. Had Iida been part of the team, he could've been the one who sped up. And he would've been the one to advance to the finals.

Of course, it was good that Bendy had taken the spot since he obviously wanted to advance, but it still felt like cheating.

Someone he didn't feel bad for losing was Monoma. The guy was a jerk.

He seemed to hate 1-A with all his guts and had made a plan with his class to lose intentionally so then they could make class 1-A lower their guard. That turned out to be a bad idea since not many people from class 1-b will end up getting into the finals. Most ended up with no points.
