Neuvillette's POV
What have I done?
I collapsed on the ground as soon as I was in a place where no one would come.
Sure. I was angry, but...
I told her that-
I said-
What on Teyvat have I done?!
How could I have done that?
How could I-
"Neuv. Neuv! Neuvillette!"
The sudden shout had my head shooting up in alarm.
"You-"
Why was he here?
How was he here?
It's been mere minutes since I left. There is no way he could have walked all the way down here.
I went all the way down to the Primordial Sea for a reason.
I thought that even if he eventually found me, I could have a moment alone.
"Lady Furina threw me down here." He explained.
"She... She did?"
"Yeah. She said you probably needed to talk to someone right now and-Hey. Wait. Are you crying?"
Was I?
I don't know.
I don't know anything at this point.
"Why...?"
Just why would she?
After what I said to her...
Why would she think of me still?
Was she worried that if I got too angry Fontaine would drown?
No...
She knows better than to think so.
So why?
"Just why?!"
I heard a sigh before I felt Wriothesely sit down next to me.
I couldn't look up. I couldn't look him in the eyes.
Not like this. Not after I-
"So. What got you both so down?"
His tone was as easygoing as ever and that bothered me extremely.
"This is not a joke, Wriothesely."
"Oh, I'm sorry! Wait a moment then. Let me get all depressed really quick. Cause having three of Fontaine's higher-ups unable to function is better than just two." He retorted sarcastically.
Right...
"I apologize."
I was taking my frustration out on him.
"Apology not accepted."
"Hmm?"
That-
That was new.
I looked up at him questioningly.
He looked a bit blurry-
"So you were crying."
I was?
I reached up to my eyes and wet spots were left on my glove.
"Oh..."
