 Wriothesley's POV

 Phew!

 Done.

 No more paperwork for me.

"You look like you've been through hell." Neuvillette chuckled.

 "Paperwork is hell."

Even if I choose to do it.

 And...

Neuvillette does realize that even if I take his last name now one is gonna use it anyway, right?

I doubt they will suddenly stop calling me Duke Wriothesley or Your Grace.

 Oh well.

Even if he doesn't, there is no need to point it out and ruin his good mood.

Someone else can suffer the consequences of doing that later.

I'm not getting involved in that mess.

"Will you be staying for my appointment with Miss Charlotte, Wrio?" He asked suddenly.

 "If you don't mind."

"Of course I don't. Stay as long as you'd like."

 Don't tempt me.

I might stay here all day and get nothing done.

I have a job as well you know.

 On the topic of jobs.

"I've been curious for a while now. What is your salary anyway?"

 He looked up and frowned.

 Was it rude to ask?

"I'm not quite sure." He said eventually.

 "What?"

How can you not know your own salary?

"I don't really have a need for it. I rarely buy anything other than snacks and food for the girls and your tea. My water purchases are being treated as my lunch by Furina, so I don't even need to think about those aside from noting the amounts."

 ...

 Wait.

 Does that mean...

"So... You pretty much have all your salary saved up?"

 "Correct."

 What the hell?!

500 years' worth of someone's salary.

"Do you want to see it?"

Of course, I want to see it!

He pulled a single slip of paper from his desk drawer, handing it to me.

"This came from Northland Bank last month. They've made a habit of sending me one every other month."

"You keep your money with the fatui?"

"If you give me a better option I will gladly change it." He sighed.

Just how high would the amount be, anyway?

My salary is so low it's shameful. His should be at least a bit higher-

 Holy shit!

 What the hell is this?!

 How many zeros are there?!
