Neuvillette's POV

I didn't know whether or not I was glad when Claude interrupted my teatime with Wriothesley.

On one hand, it was one of the few free moments I had with him this week.

 On the other...

I still haven't made peace with tea just yet.

As Wrio put it, I look like he does when he drinks Sigewinne's milkshake.

Surely I have better control of my expression.

For one, the merchant I spoke to a few days ago didn't notice a thing.

Maybe it's only him. He has started to pick on quite a few of my tells.

"Your Grace! There is an emergency! A large brawl broke out at the cafeteria!" Claude told us anxiously.

"Tsk! They just had to interrupt now. Damn it. Couldn't they start fighting later?" Wriothsley mumbled in annoyance.

 "Shall I-"

"No, no. You stay here. I'll handle it." He interrupted me.

 Then he turned to Claude.

"Inform who you should inform and make sure to stay away from the fight. Vision or not, I don't want you anywhere near it."

 "Yes, sir."

Cluade nodded fiercely before disappearing out the door.

I turned back to find Wriothesley smirking.

 ?

"You are quite adorable when you tilt your head like that when you are confused." He teased.

"Why are you smirking?" I asked bluntly, ignoring his teasing.

There is always not quite to my liking when he smirks like that.

"Oh, I was just reminded of something that has been on my mind for a while now. I've been wanting to try something with you."

 "Do tell."

I wonder just what has had his mind occupied.

Suddenly he got off the couch and leaned over the table, getting incredibly close.

Our lips almost touched and I could feel his breath as he spoke.

"I'll go take care of the problem at the cafeteria. In the meantime I want you to try... getting out of these."

As his last words dropped I felt something cold snap around my wrists and he pulled away.

He slipped to and out the door till only his head poked inside.

"No breaking them. No using your powers. Good luck, my dear Iudex."

I was left behind utterly stunned as I looked down at the handcuffs around my wrists.

 ???

This is what he had been thinking about?

Is this the kind of weird human fantasy the girls warned me about?

Surely not. They specified that does tend to come up in the bedroom.

 So...

Why would Wriothesley want to have me handcuffed?

 Besides...

I reached up to unclip one of my hairpins and twisted the sharp end inside the lock a few times.
