Neuvillette's POV

 Ugh...

My head was pounding like never before as a shiver ran down my spine.

 What even is this...?

I opened my eyes with much difficulty to see-

 Sigewinne?

She had fallen asleep sitting on a chair, resting her head on the edge of the-

 Bed?

How did I even get here?

 Wait. Why am I here?

And why is it so terribly difficult for me to even just move a muscle?

Still, even through all that, I couldn't help but reach over to pet her head.

 !!!

 She's ice cold!

As I was getting panicked, Sigewinne's eyes snapped open.

"Monsieur Neuvillette? Oh. Oh... You're awake! How are you feeling?"

 "I'm quite alright."

Though, somehow that monsieur hurt a bit.

"You on the other hand should dress more warmly. You're freezing."

Hearing my words she frowned and placed her hand on my forehead.

"I'm not the one who's cold. You're burning up, Monsieur Neuvilllette."

 "Excuse me?"

 I'm what?

 "You have a fever."

 I have a what?

I rose up a bit from shock, leaning on my arm as I tried sitting up.

 "That is impossible."

 "It should be impossible."

And with that, she pushed me back down quite easily.

 What the-

"But you are running a fever and you will stay in bed till it recedes."

 "Sigewinne, I-"

"You nothing! You will stay in bed and you will drink the herbal tea I made with the Duke. It's gonna taste absolutely disgusting, but you know what? You deserve it!" She shouted as she stormed off.

Whatever did I do to attract her ire?

"I think having to watch as I fished you out of your underground pool did the trick." An amused voice sounded.

I looked up to see Wriothesely leaning against the doorframe smirking.

 ??

"Your question was written on your face." HE chuckled.

But that was not what I was wondering about.

 "You're dripping wet."

"As I said, I fished you out of the pool. After that, next to calming down Sigewinne and making, in my opinion, the words most disgusting tea, I couldn't quite find the time to change yet."

So it seems I worried her once again.

I sat up under the Duke's clearly disapproving gaze. Extending my hand I-

 "Huh?"

 It doesn't work.

 "Is something the matter?"
