Wriothesely's POV

 So...

He was not joking when he said he would go to Meropide.

His reasoning was that Lady FUrina quite literally told him to screw off to the fortress.

My guess is that he's trying to escape from the melusines.

After all, I was right in the end.

He really can't handle more than one at the moment.

Not when they're all trying to get him to allow them to call him dad.

 Still, this...

"Just how much paperwork do you actually have?!"

 Archons!

There are already six boxes worth!

"This should be it." He said as he finished packing the seventh box.

 Hallelujah!

"Sedene will send down next week's batch when they get in."

 "Excuse me?"

 Next week's batch?

 Is this not it?

"This is what Furina failed to finish." He explained.

I thought this was both that and next week's batch!

 What the hell?!

"Hmm. I can probably send this one back now..." He mumbled as he signed one of them.

 "What's this one about?"

"Some mora needs to be refunded for a typewriter keycap replacement."

"How is that any of your business?"

 A keycap replacement?

 Really?!

"It's included in my duties to sign..."

I didn't hear the rest of the sentence but I was sure of one thing.

Neuvillette is totally being taken advantage of.

 "Hey, Neuvillette."

"Yes?" He looked up from the paper with the most innocent expression possible.

In 400 years, did Lady Furina not teach him some common sense?

 "You see, this..."

 How should I put this...

 "This shouldn't be your responsibility."

 Definitely not.

"Thank you for the concern, but it truly isn't too much trouble to handle a few more things." He smiled.

 Dear me...

He really has started smiling more lately.

I looked at Sigewinne for help, but the only thing she could do was mouth:

"Just give up. We've been trying for centuries."

After that, she shrugged her shoulders and checked her bag once more.

 Sigh...

 A lost cause then.

 On that note.

"I've been meaning to ask, but what's up with the came? You don't look like you need it."
