Raph's Girl (a teenage muntant ninja story) (version idea #1)

He doesnt like me.....? He Like Likes me?!?!

"Because...." He started and I held my breath. "I like--"

"Hey!" Mikey called from the other room interrupting us. we both jump, breaking the trance Raph and I were in. "is the food almost ready?"

"Soon Mikey! So shut it!" I called back shaking my head. I turned back towards Raph.

"Um... never mind...." Raph said avoiding my eyes

"But---" I began

"Look just call me when suppers ready" he interrupted while storming out. he ran in to Leo before he was fully out the door "watch it Leo!" He hissed out before finally leaving.

We both looked at the direction he stormed off in. "what's Raph's deal?" Leo questioned giving me a pointed look

I shrugged my shoulders, uncertain of what set off the hot-heads mood swing.

"I dunno Leo, I mean... he is your brother" I said giving him a pointed look of my own "you've known him longer"

"Hm!" He exclaimed "some times I'm not so sure I really know him...." Leo trailed off, getting lost in his own thoughts.

I got lost in my own thoughts as I finished cooking my famous homemade five cheese pizza.

It was topped with what you would see on a supreme on one quarter of the pizza. another quarter of the pizza had a meat lovers part. the third quarter of the pizza had plain pepperoni and the last quarter was just plain five cheeses, with oregano and a homemade crust to boot.

"Boys!" I called "Master splinter! it's supper time" I waited a second or two until I heard the boys pounding footsteps. Mikey, of corse was the first, then Donnie, Leo, Master Splinter and finally, good ole Mr.hot-Head himself.

"Yum Dudette" Mikey mumbled through a mouth full of food "this is really good!"

"Yes it is" Master Splinter complimented "how did you learn how to cook?"

I felt my good mood start to disappear. "well, my mother had started to teach me, but she got sick before I could really learn much from her. so I learned mostly from trial and error." I said, fighting the sensation of my throat closing and the tightness of my chest.

"Oh... my apologies.... I did not mean to cause you remembrance of hurtful memories" he said, his face growing somber.

I waved him off, faking a smile "Nah... I mean.... it was a long time ago. she's gone and saying sorry can't bring her back... as much as I wish it could...." I said shrugging.... trying to blow off the hurt. "it can't bring her back... so don't waste your breath."

Everyone looked at me. I avoided everyone's gazes. "so..." I trailed off, looking down at my plate "who wants seconds?"

"Ooohhh!!! Me! Me! Me!!!!" Mikey exclaimed, jumping in his seat. I shook my head

"Of corse.... any one else?"

"No... but thank you Tess" Leo said and Donnie nodded. Raph just sat there, lost in thought.

"No prob" I said before getting up to go get seconds for myself and fourths for Mikey.... him and his pizza I swear....

I heard footsteps behind me. they sounded small. like the person was nervous or something.... "who is it?"

"It's Raph..." he said. I whipped around to see him throwing away his trash, before putting the dishes in the sink.

"Oh.... hey hot-head" I gave a small smile...."why'd you storm off earlier?"

He rubbed the back of his neck "yeah about that...." he muttered. I raised an eyebrow at him.

"it's...." he sighed "well.... I've never really been good at expressing my intentions but I thought it over and I......"

"hey Dudette" mikey called "are you coming back?" raph looked discouraged.

"never mind" he muttered before rushing out again

"Raph!" I called "Wait...!" but it didn't work. I sighed before putting more pizza on mikey's plate. I had lost my appetite... I walked into the other room. I handed mikey his plate.

"Awesome Dudette! thanks!" he cried out before digging in to the food.

"yeah your welcome." I said, trying to conceal my disappointment I turned to the others "hey I'm gonna go up top for a while so don't wait up for me...."

"Tess..." Leo warned

"I'm not gonna run... I'm just gonna go change and get some belongings and come back" I said. he looked like he didn't believe me "I swear and send someone with me if you don't believe me." I challenged, daring him.

he smirked "ok I'll send Raph with you"

I faltered "W-what?" I stuttered out. Donnie gave Leo a knowing look "w-why would you send him with me?"

"what?" Leo questioned innocently "do you not like raph?"

"what!" I exclaimed "n-no its just.... uh.....um...." I sighed "I don't think he likes me very much"

Leo looked at me shocked "you think that raph doesn't like you?" he said slowly

I blushed "um... yeah I mean he doesn't talk to me and when he does its in code. plus he never stays around me very long.... and when he does leave he leaves mad or frustrated.... I guess I just don't get him..."

Leo and Donnie looked at me and then at each other. they shook their heads. "well...." Leo reasoned "your taking him anyway..... RAPH!!!" Leo called "Get in here!"

"what Leo" he hissed not looking at me... 'see' I thought 'told you he could never love you'

"your going with Tess up top to help her if she needs it" he said. raph looked so mad

"Leo" he said through gritted teeth "why cant you send Mikey or Donnie or oh I don't know yourself?"

"just do it raph" Leo said waving off his brothers anger

"fine" was his only retort "Lets get going Chica" he said

we were half way to my hut before I asked him as we paused, taking a break. "Why don't you like me?"

his eyes widened as he whipped around "WHAT?" he exclaimed outraged.

I winced but repeated "why don't you like me?"

he noticed that I winced, and his expression softened just ever so slightly. he turned to face the city
"I-I do like you" he said not looking at me.

I rolled my eyes "sure" I said sarcastically "and Mikey isn't good at video games" I looked down at the ground.

I felt his hands take my face and pull my gaze up towards him "look at me" he said but I didn't, I kept my eyes casted downward

"look at me Chica" he said surprisingly soft but stern. I looked at him timidly in his green passion filled eyes. "I do like you Chica.... it just I'm not good with words... that's Leo's department.... I'm better with my fists..." he sighed and looked down, dropping his hand from my face. He turned away from me.

"hey" I said gathering some courage "I like you for you..." I trailed off, blushing.

"w-what?" he looked at me shocked.

"I.... I like you raph.... but I'm.... I'm afraid...." I said looking down, feeling sorta shy, messing with my hands.

"why?" he questioned softly

"because...." I sighed "because I've never been in a relationship for one and second... there's a side of me that you don't know yet."

"well what is that side?" he questioned

"it's...." I began

"Raph!" Mikey shouted off in the distance "help!" we looked at each other.

"Lets go" I said quickly "I can wait"

he shot me a grateful look and a "thanks" before taking off. I followed him.
