~Wait this thing can speak?!~
After a long sail the girl smiled as her feet finally touched land, looking around the all too familiar Harbor, her colleague joining her not even a minute later. He looked at the girls beaming face, aware that she enjoyed the sun much more the Snezhnayan cold snow. "So first step is tanning I presume?" he teased, patting her head. She gave in to the touch for a second, head pats always being her weakness, but snapped out of it within a second and slapped his hand away.
"You idiot, we're working and in public." she glared at the taller man who grinned at her. "Besides, if anyone needs some tan it's you, what are you like a shade darker than cream cheese?" she teased back as they began walking through the town.
"Sharp as always, aren't we Lynx?" a very familiar voice came from the top of the stairs. "Here to get me some more customers, I assume?"
"Oh, director! Didn't expect to see you so soon!" Lynx responded, keeping her professional stance as she walked up to her friend. "Pleasure to be in your presence, as always, my dear." the kitsune flashed her a smile, extending her hand out for Hu Tao to shake.
"Oh and Mr. Zhongli will be so happy to her you two are back! I can't wait to tell him!" she squeaked, jumping happily. "Welcome back. See you for dinner at the Kiosk later?"
"Of course, bring Zhongli!" Childe responded with a smile, waving the girl off as she ran towards her workplace. Keahi shook her head at the amount of energy she had. "Let's go, the Bank is waiting." he grabbed his best friends hand as he lead her up the stairs and into the bank. They were greeted by a whole lot of recruits waiting for them, bowing their heads as they passed.
"Oh, you've arrived! Your rooms are ready!" the lady at the reception spoke up. The two harbingers sent her a smile and nodded. They turned around and went into their office.
"How do we go about this?" the girls pink eyes locked on her partner as he looked over the papers that were waiting for them on the table. "Should we locate the traveler first?"
"The rite of descension is today, they'll definitely be there so we can wait for them in the shadows. It's also the perfect opportunity to locate the archon." Childe spoke, looking back up at the girl in front of him. She nodded, letting out a sigh as she sat down on the couch in the corner of the room. "Take a rest, I'll wake you up when it's time to go into action."
The girl drifted off as her best friend continued to look through the information on the case they were given. He let out a sigh, looking at the folder with the information about the traveler.
Soon enough, it was time to go to the rite. They climbed atop a building to watch the event, observing the crowd. "There she is!" the girl's ear twitched as the words left her best friend's mouth. She scanned the faces of the people gathered until her eyes fell onto the blonde girl, being followed by some sort of a fairy. "So that's our target, seems approachable enough." Childe smirked. "So shall I introduce m-"
"Hush, it's starting!" the girl hissed at him, hitting his shoulder, her eyes focused on the event before her. She watched lady Ningguang do a prayer and everyone waiting expectantly for the god to show up. However, the only thing that showed up was the body of the god, which fell from the sky. The people began to whisper as lady NIngguang approached the body, observing it closely.
"Rex Lapis has been killed! Seal the exits!" she commanded and soon the Mililleth gathered around all of the exits, making sure no one could leave. The harbingers watched the scene intently, observing the traveler's every move. Soon Childe runs off to go help the traveler out and Lynx stays on the roof, watching the body of the archon.
