~You certainly do have a long tongue for a diplomat~
They all grabbed some food, finding a quiet place to sit and eat while waiting for their papers. It was completely silent until Thoma decided to speak up.
"You know, when you told me you were Inazuman I thought you were one of the alive ones and could get in easily." his green eyes looked over at Keahi, who nearly chocked on her food upon hearing him.
"What do you mean one of the alive ones? How do you know who I am?"
"I am a housekeeper for the Kamisato clan. I live right by the shrine, therefore I have heard your name mentioned many times." he sighed, looking back down at his food, taking a bite before continuing. "You had the whole of Inazuma searching for you, it was quite a case, it's not every day that the daughter of the head shrine maiden disappears without a trace." he chuckled and the girls ear flicked once again, hear tails resting peacefully around her, unmoving. "They eventually wrote your case off, presumed dead."
"Well, glad they gave up. Wouldn't have found me anyway, especially with their dear archon electrocuting anyone trying to leave the nation." the girl spoke calmly, enjoying her food.
"You never told us you were Inazuman!" Paimon squeaked from beside her. "And that Lynx wasn't your real name! We knew about how Childe's was an alias but you never told us anything!"
"Imagine how fun it will be when they find her name in the deceased section of the files." Thoma shook his head, still smiling brightly as if he was telling a joke. He sent the traveler to do some favors for the people of Ritou while he stayed and talked to the kitsune. He asked her about the reasons she had to leave Inazuma and she kept quiet for a while, just staring off into the distance. Her past was none of his business.
"Mister Thoma, Miss Keahi? They're looking for you at the check in point." one of the guards called out and the pair stood up, grabbing the food Thoma had bought for the the check in lady. As they walked there they noticed a few more people were stood there, waiting for them. Thoma had a nervous expression on his face, but Keahi kept her's neutral, not giving away how panicked she truly was.
"Miss Keahi, this is detective Heizou of the Tenryou commission." the woman spoke, stuttering slightly as she spoke. She was told of Keahi's identity and as she looked at the kitsune her face went pale, as if she'd seen a ghost.
"Hello, you must be Keahi, right?" a burgundy haired man walked closer to her. She gave him a nod, observing the person in front of her. He was taller than her, not much but the height difference was noticeable. His hair was partially tied back with a piece of rope and his eyes were bright green, a small mole under each of them. He put his hand out for her to shake as he continued: "The name's Heizou, I'm sorry to inform you that we have to take you in for a questioning, so will you please follow us."
"I'm sorry detective but you do realize I'm a Harbinger, right?"
"That doesn't get you far around here, except for the fact that you're a diplomat and expected to behave properly. Aside from being a Harbinger you're also the person who disappeared without a trace from the nation for five years, has been written of as dead and is now turning up like nothing ever happened. So I expect you to comply and come with us before your sudden appearing causes havoc in the nation." he spoke and the girl cowered under his intense green gaze.
What was happening to her? She wasn't shy like this usually. She wasn't afraid of anything. But after all, maybe Inazuma was her biggest fear. Returning to the land she shut out from her mind sure is doing a number on her.
She complied, letting them escort her back to Inazuma city and into the police station, soon being taken to Heizou's office. The man sat down across from her, signaling the guards to leave the room. The pair was left alone and they sat in silence for a while, with her just looking around his office and him observing her every move. "I know I'm quite easy on the eyes, detective and I assure you that you are too, but I'm pretty sure I'm here for a questioning and I don't hear any questions coming out of that pretty mouth of yours."
