~I thought we were in this shit together~

She was teleported back onto the Jade Chamber, looking to the side to see Xiao holding onto her hand on one side and holding Lumine by the waist on the other.

"Be careful now." he whispered and they both nodded, looking up at the rest of Liyue's defenders.

"The Guizhong ballista has been destroyed, without it's covering fire retaliation shall be difficult." Cloud retainer spoke, making us all look up. The kitsune squeezed the Yaksha's hand lightly signaling to him that she was nervous, making him glance over at her in wonder, never having seen her nervous before, let alone betrayed. She was always kind of cold, teasing and putting up walls. He squeezed back to show her that he was there, reassuring her slightly.

"But the Jade Chamber is our last line of defense!" Ganyu stepped forward "We cannot give another inch! No matter what!"

Ningguang teleported in the middle of them all, "I have another idea." she spoke, observing everyone's expressions.

"What do you mean, Lady Ningguang?"

"I'll sacrifice the Jade Chamber."

"What is the meaning of this?" Cloud Retainer asked as the Chamber flew above the monster.

"I understand." Xiao placed his mask over his face as he let go of his two friends. All of the adepti channeled their power into the traveler as she was asked to lend them a hand. Lynx followed the adepti's lead, also sending a portion of her power to her friend. Lumine was quick to strike her sword into the ground of the Jade Chamber and it began to shake, a big flash erupting from the strike. The adepti were quick to gather everyone up, flying down to the docks. The kitsune climbed atop Cloud Retainer, watching as the Jade Chamber exploded, taking in the sight, even enjoying it, as the threat to Liyue was destroyed.

"Is it finally over?" Paimon asked as everyone gazed out to the sea, where the ancient god stood only moments ago.

"The ominous aura of that monster has indeed begun to fade. The effects of the Sigil of Permission last but a short time, it'll be some time before the Overlord of the Vortex can make any waves again." Moon Carver responded, informing us that the battle was indeed over.

"We are indebted to you for your assistance." Ningguang spoke, talking to the adepti as the Harbinger backed up to stand next to Xiao.

"Thank you for that save up there." she whispered to him and he looked away, knowing that he would do it a thousand times again just to keep that idiot of a kitsune alive.

"I was just making sure you that you don't get killed, which I already told you was my duty." he grumbled, making the girl let out a chuckle as she grabbed onto his hand, giving it a squeeze once again, but this time, only to let him know that she was thankful to have him as a friend.

"I'm going to go find Childe and Zhongli, please come for me once you've finished your negotiations." she whispered, letting go of Xiao's hand and leaving the area, heading straight to the Bank, where she was met with Childe and Signora and, unsurprisingly, Zhongli.

"Oh there you are, where were you?" Childe ran up to her right upon her arrival. He tried to pull his best friend into a hug only to be pushed away.

"Cleaning up your fucking mess, that's where." she growled back, her tail swaying from side to side as she glared at her partner. "You know, you should tell me about your goddamn plans, we are a team you fucking idiot! Couldn't even take me when you left the Golden House, no, you just wanted to watch the chaos you unleashed." Lynx was shouting at her friend, the only person she completely trusted in the past four years of her life.
