Call Me Lynx (Wanderer x OC)

Prologue: Chapter 3

~Childe have you completely lost your mind~

When she left the Inn and began to walk back to the Harbor she was met by a familiar face, quite close to the place where she had slain those men earlier. She let out a sigh, seeing the girl waving her over excitedly. 

"Yes, director?" she walked over to the bouncy girl and couldn't help but smile, seeing her energy. 

"I knew you wouldn't fail me, Lynx!" Hu Tao bounded as she hugged the kitsune, who only waved her tail in response. "Look at the costumers you got me! You're truly amazing!" she was so excited she was practically jumping off walls, except for there were no walls in the plains. 

"Me? Where'd you get that idea?" 

"Oh who else would cut the heads off so perfectly and then also set them on fire! Plus, there's traces of an explosion over there! And you only confirmed my theory by being in this area, hehe." the funeral parlor director giggled, grabbing the girls hand to show her her evidence. "What were they doing this time?" 

"They were harassing a young woman and I happened to be passing by right on time." Lynx smirked, feeling quite proud of what she had achieved that day. "Need help getting these to the graveyard?" 

"Oh, no of course not! But you're free to accompany me back to the Harbor while my men take the bodies to their burial sites." she said, waving her hand over to her underlings to get to their job. They all scurried to gather the three men's leftovers while Hu Tao lead me away from the scene. "I heard you became friends with the traveler? What do you think of them? They've been helping Zhongli prepare the rite of parting for Morax!" she was talking so fast that the girl actially had to try hard to follow her words. 

"They're quite nice, I'm sure they've taken good care of Zhongli today." the kitsune responded calmly, straightening her back as she walked next to her friend. She had met Hu Tao the last time she was in Liyue, when the girl caught her trying to dispose of a body and got so excited, thanking her for getting her a new customer. Since then they have formed a pact, where Lynx does the killing, Hu Tao takes care of the bodies and Lynx, of course, pays her and Hu Tao doesn't tell on her. It's been proven effective and the girls formed a bond over it. 

They arrived to Liyue Harbor just as the sun was setting and were met with a lot of fatui recruits at the gates to the city, one of them having a talk with the traveler and Zhongli. They approached to hear that Ningguang has taken some actions against the Fatui and that the parlor was also caught up in it, saying that the parlor was having a discussion with them close to their business. Zhongli and Hu Tao left in a hurry, but not before Zhongli warned the traveler about having to find the 'fuse'. 

"So what did Zhongli mean by looking for the 'fuse'?" Paimon asked, turning to the traveler.

"Oh, you know, Mr. More-Money-Than-Sense..." Lumine responded, eyeing the kitsune suspiciously. 

"Paimon gets it! If there's anyone that wants to see the whole city turned upside down, it's definitely him. He must be waiting for the moment when no one is watching to do something really bad!" Paimon stated before her expression turned into a frown, "But where could we find him now? Where would we go at a time like this?" 

"There's only one place he would go." and with that they ran off. Before the girl ran after them she asked one of her recruits about Childe's whereabouts and he informed her that he was at the Mora Mints, making Lynx let out a sigh, knowing he cannot obtain the gnosis from the exuvia, as it is simply not there. She ran to the Mints only to hear sounds of struggle inside. She entered only to be faced with the sight of Childe in his Foul Legacy form from his delusion, shouting at the traveler about handing over the gnosis. She mentally facepalmed as she walked closer to the battle, just to see Childe getting defeated.
