Rachel Parker POV
"Where are these things coming from!?" I yelled. There were about 50 more mutants that showed up. "And where is our backup?" Captain America asked, throwing his shield at a string of mutants.

"No idea." I said. I turned and struck a neon green thing in the face. It felt like silly putty. "Ugh. How did the Ninja Turtles deal with green goop?" I said, wiping my hands on my suit. I looked around and saw three mutants come from the door. They each had a silver choke chain around their neck.

I almost fell to the floor as Cedar and Miranda came out, 40 more mutants marched behind them, along with Kimberly. I heard two planes fly overhead and smiled, there was our backup!

"Better late than never! Did they stop for smoothies!? A piña colada!?" I griped. Steve just shrugged. We kept fighting, no matter what I did, I couldn't get rid of the stupid goopy monster! It attached itself to my suit, and turned black. Venom.

I fought against him as hard as I could. He would not let go! "Geez, what are you, a bulldog!? Let me go! Down boy!" I yelled, struggling to get Venom off of me.

Steve came over and tried to help. Venom was taking all of my strength. This was their plan! "Come here! Leave my daughter alone!" Someone roared. Suddenly, Venom whimpered and backed away. I saw my dad's suit and smiled gratefully. "Wow Venom's in the dog house now." I laughed.

Our backup had arrived! "Where is SilverMist?" My dad asked, he had managed to subdue Venom. I looked at the ground. "She's not...is she? I'm so sorry." My dad said, giving me a hug.

"What a nice family reunion. Time to break it up. Permanently." Kimberly laughed, I cringed at what my best friend had become. "We have to get those collars off of them without killing them. Whatever is in them isn't helping." My dad said.

All three of my friends were turning on me! "Enough of this. Let's get out of here!" I heard someone yell above us. There was a plane leaving! The villains! "We can't let them get away!" I yelled. Steve looked up and threw his shield. It bounced off and didn't even make a dent! "Well...that hasn't not worked before.."

"They've had this planned all along! They're trying to kill all of us!" I yelled in shock. "They're getting away!" I yelled, trying to hold off Kimberly. She had wrapped me in her vines again!

"Not if I can help it!" Someone said. Something shot in front of the plane! I was too focused on Kimberly to watch what was going on. I fought off her poison while my dad was fighting off Cedar.

"I am Groot." I heard Groot say. The vines started to slip! "I am Groot. I am Groot." He repeated. "Here we go again!" My dad complained. Kimberly's eyes changed. Suddenly, the thing around her neck tightened with a purple glow, and she began to attack Groot.

Kimberly took something out of her pocket, it was a syringe! She narrowed her eyes at me and caught me in her vines. I struggled to break free, but couldn't! My dad was caught in a fight with Cedar and Miranda.

"Goodbye forever, SpiderGirl." Kimberly laughed, I closed my eyes. Suddenly, she screamed and dropped me. I looked around, completely shocked. What just happened!?

Someone floated down in front of me. They were wearing a neon blue and silver suit and had silver wings, their hair was glowing silver and platinum blonde. I recognized the silver cowboy boots and gasped. "I told you I'd never leave." Samantha said, turning toward me. Her eyes were a platinum silver color with a blue ring around the edge. She fought Kimberly off me and took the collar off Kimberly's neck.

"But you were...what!?" I asked. Before she could answer, she was blown off her feet. I looked back and saw her shake her head. "Miss Manhattan. Figured I would meet you sooner or later."
