Evergreen (Kimberly) POV

I opened my eyes and looked around. I was in a weird tune looking thing, I couldn't move, but I could breathe through some sort of oxygen mask.

I was surrounded by green fluid, it feel thick and gooey, like sludge. I shuttered at the thought and tried to peer out. I felt like a fish trapped in a fishbowl! I suddenly felt bad for the pet fish I had kept in a bowl when I was younger....

I could see a bit outside of my fishbowl, Cedar was wandering around in a cage. I glanced up and saw that I was in a metal tube with an open, glass front. Something appeared in front of me and made me jump slightly.

"Oh! She is awake. How wonderful." Someone laughed. "Bring her out of her slumber." The tube started to empty and I fell on the ground, dazed. I couldn't move or think correctly.

He opened the glass in the front and pulled me up roughly by the arm. I was really dizzy and disoriented but I tried not to show it. "I see our little cocktail is working." He laughed. I realized it was Dr. Matthews!

"W..what cocktail?" I whispered, my voice hoarse. "It holds back your powers in a painful way." He laughed. "In due time, it will exterminate them completely." He laughed. "No!" I yelled.

"Yes, but of course. We wouldn't want any mutants running around our city that I can't control." He smiled. I tried to slap him, or do something, but I was too weak. "You see your little friend over there?" He asked, shoving me toward Cedar.

"Any wrong move and he's dead." He laughed. I didn't reply as my head felt like it was spinning. He dragged me back to the tank and chained up my hands again. He shoved the oxygen mask over my face and I breathed.

The liquid filled up again and I screamed as it burned. I had to get out of here! But how!?
