SilverMist (Samantha Hawthorn) POV

I walked into our bunks, Director Fury had finally let me out of my confinement. He gave me a bunk jointly with Evergreen and SpiderGirl.

I slipped on the suit, double checking my necklace was on. It was absolutely crucial that I wore the necklace, I didn't want anything catastrophic to happen. It was shaped like a guitar pick but was made of some unearthly metal that kept my power in check.

I double checked everything in the mirror and walked back onto the lower deck of the Hellicarrier. "Ready?" Director Fury asked me.

"Yes, Director." I responded. I threw the switch on the elevator and smiled. This was my very first hero assignment! I reached the top of the deck and Tony Stark came walking over to me. "Jea...SilverMist! I have a new toy for you before you leave." He smiled.

I followed him below deck of the outside of the Hellicarrier. It was a little glass room with a door built into it at the bottom, hidden between two gigantic engines. He lead me inside. "It's an entrance to the lab." He told me with a smile.

"Awesome." I replied back. He lead me to a table that held what looked like a skateboard. It was silver and black and was narrower in the middle and expanded on the edges. It had no wheels, I noticed. "It has no wheels?" I asked.

Knew she would say that! I smiled as I secretly read his mind. "It's a hover board that you can use with your energy. We figured since you're just getting used to having your power limited, this might help." He smiled at me.

He wasn't wearing his armor, but a tight black t-shirt, so tight, his powerful magnet shown through and made a blue ring. "Thank you." I said with a smile. "Wanna try it out? It should harness some of your energy." He told me.

He lifted it off the table and set it on the ground. "Kick the back with the heel of your boot." He told me. I kicked it and it raised off the ground, throwing me off balance. Don't fall.

I focused my mind on my feet and willed them not to jump off the board. I held steady and felt my mind begin to calm. "Okay, just tell the board what to do through your powers." He told me.

He doesn't know what my powers can do. Okay. I said to him, after putting my hand to my head and concentrating. "Woah! I didn't know you could do that!" He said with a smile. "Yeah." I shrugged. I thought about the board going forward and it went forward slowly. The faster I think it to go the faster it should go!

"Thank you, Mr. Stark." I said. "Call me Tony! And you're welcome. Had a hell of a fun time building that thing." He beamed at me. "Appreciate it. Now I'm off to Oscorp." I said.

I hopped off and grabbed it in my hand. "Oh! And if you need to call it to you, try it with your mind." He winked and gave me one of his no doubt infamous smirks.

I opened the door and hopped on, kicking the back. I thought about going downwards and it sloped gracefully. I flew over the city as fast as I dared to get to Oscorp. I was afraid of what I would, or even worse, wouldn't find there.

I saw a couple holes in the tower, but also some repairs being done. I flew to the front of the tower and saw even more holes in the glass, black goop was dripping out of them. Great, just what I need. I flew through the holes and looked down below. There were robot pieces laying everywhere. I flew down and jumped off my board.

I sat and concentrated, my hands on the sides of my head. I calmed my mind as the images started to come through of each floor. I saw some people stuck on second to top floor and went to the basement. It was now patched up. I went back to the room I was in. I got up and looked around the floor I was on just to see what had happened. I couldn't find anything of interest except for the black slime.
