Rachel Parker (SpiderGirl) POV
"We need to brief everyone on this ship, again, of what is going on." Director Fury told me.

He had briefed us once before, after the Oscorp incident, but I was too worried to really pay attention. "Okay. What do you need me to do? Other than look for my friends?" I snapped.

"Look, like it or not, we can't repeat the past." He told me before looking at the screen. "Can't repeat the past? Why of course you can." I snapped. He scowled at me. "Look, Great Gatsby, we have a bit of intel and I need to share it with everyone on this ship. You can either get on board or be locked in a room, your choice!" He yelled. I had never seen him look so angry.

"Fine." I snarled back, slamming my hands on the desk. I walked out of the room. There were people working furiously on computers in the center room of the Hellicarrier.

I heard the elevator behind me start, I had wandered near it. It came down and I saw SilverMist on it. When it stopped, she walked toward me, looking exhausted. She dragged a board behind her.

"I..." She managed to say before giving up. She sat on the floor next to me. "I gotta go tell everyone to come in here." I said. Within seconds, an alarm was sounding. "You're welcome." SilverMist said weakly.

Everyone came rushing into the center room of the Hellicarrier, trying to board the elevator. I stood up and tried to block the path. "EVERYONE! Director Fury needs to speak with you. There is no fire." I yelled.

The elevator moved up and I stepped forward. The alarms stopped and I looked gratefully at SilverMist. Director Fury came forward.

"Okay. So I need to brief all of you on this current situation. We have been told that Dr. Matthews has been creating a device in order to turn a huge chunk of New York into a mutant army. Intel tells me that they are on a ship that Doctor Octopus has built. Venom has taken Evergreen and Cedar somewhere currently unknown. This is all we.."

"We know that he has been testing his weapon at Oscorp, and it does work. I just rescued five scientists from there. Do not go into Oscorp without a heavily armed team." SilverMist said, sitting back down.

"So, we need all of you to get as much Intel as we possibly can." Director Fury finished. "Maria, schedule a meeting with as many mutants as we can in Central Park." Director Fury ordered.

"Yes, Director." She ran off toward her computer. "What time?" She asked. "Midnight tomorrow night." He told her. "We need to have people guarding the Hellicarrier around the clock and keep watch over New York." He commanded. "Okay." Several of us said.

"Sir, we have Intel there's an island that might have something of interest on the Atlantic." One of the workers said. I recognized him from earlier, he was afraid of SilverMist.

"Okay. I have a plan." Captain America said, stepping forward. Hulk stepped forward, along with Tony Stark. "How powerful is SilverMist?" Steve asked.

"I don't know?" She asked. "She's very powerful." I heard someone say. Professor X came forward in his wheelchair. "Almost too powerful." He said. "Okay, if we could have her protect a ship while we flew into the island, we could defeat the first wave, and then have jets follow us and take out the rest." Steve said.

"We don't want what happened to happen again." Professor X said. "What?" SilverMist asked. "Nothing. It should be fine." He assured her. She was silent. I could tell she was concentrating.

"Okay, let's meet with the others first. Then we will go with that plan." Director Fury said. I nodded, we had around 24 hours. SilverMist came over by me, looking a bit more energized.

"What do you think they meant? Again?" She asked me. "No idea." I shrugged. I began to get worried about Cedar and Evergreen. "We'll get them. Don't worry. Even if I die trying, we'll get them." She promised me.

"Thanks." I said, for once, I was happy she read my mind. She gave me a hug and we walked toward our bunks. I sat in my bed, looking at my phone. I had taken a picture with Cedar a few days earlier. I looked at it until tears fell and I realized I was crying.

I continued to look at the picture and scrolled to another one, this time, it was me, Kimberly, and Cedar. We'll find them.

I smiled at the thought. Samantha went and got changed, I had taken off my suit earlier. I laid on my bunk in silence, staring at my phone. I should have gone with them! I threw my phone and slammed my head on my bunk.

"I think you...threw this." Samantha said with a smirk. She brought it back in. I hid under the covers, peeping my head out. "Just go to sleep. It'll be okay." She assured me, this time talking out loud. I forced my eyes to shut and I think she used some of her power on me. I fell asleep quickly.
