SpiderMan's Daughter: Book Two: Bigger Guns And Even Bigger Villains

Midtown Showdown

SpiderGirl POV
We hurried and went to the far corner of the park; I heard the sounds of fighting and knew that Squirrel Girl's fuzzy friends were right. She smirked up at me and I pretended not to notice.

I saw Captain America, Black Widow, Doc Oc, Green Goblin, The Rhino, Juggernaut, Iron Man, and some new thing I hadn't seen before. Kimberly looked a bit disappointed when she didn't see Groot. "We'll find him, don't worry." I said, trying to see what the new creature was.

It was grey like Rhino but was smaller and seemed to have a shell. "Is that a grey ninja turtle or something? Someone call another Renaissance artist and take their name." I laughed, swinging over.

It turned around and I gasped. It was a gigantic armadillo! "What the hell? Never mind, someone call Texas, their state animal escaped..." I laughed. "I wouldn't mess with him..." Kimberly trailed off.

The thing grunted and turned back to the metal contraption. It looked like a futuristic time capsule, with wires and things sticking out everywhere.

It was even bigger than the ones we shut down! It had green tubes on the side with liquid flowing through them. I swung into the huge armadillo, it was like swinging into a wall! He just curled into a ball, knocking me over.

"Seriously? C'mon you old tank!" I said, standing up and shaking my head. The Green Goblin flew away and I heard another glider fire up. He had a hidden glider! "Kimberly no!" I yelled. She shook her head, "I have to do this for Luke."

They flew off, Kimberly chasing Harry. I turned back to the metal thing, Doc Oc had grabbed several of my friends in a headlock! "Hey! Aren't you supposed to be in the ocean? Bucket of bolts!" I joked. "You little pest!" He said, dropping Captain America. He threw his shield at one of Doc Oc's arms.

Doc Oc was distracted momentarily, so I swung and hit him in the chest. My friends dropped to the floor and turned to Juggernaut, "gee thanks guys. What happened to we're all in this together? Go Wildcats... Woo? Fine I'll do it myself." I dodged one of Doc Oc's arms
And grabbed one with a web.

I wrapped it across his chest and he snarled, cutting it. I got an idea and ran away from him. Squirrel Girl hopped up beside me. "If you can get some of your friends to distract him, I have a plan." I whispered, I saw her nod out of the corner of my eye.

I heard clicking and chattering as squirrels started to appear. They attacked Doc Oc and I thought about my plan.

He struggled to get the squirrels off of him and I shot webs at his arms. I grabbed them all together and went underneath him as he was standing on his last two electronic arms.

He came crashing down and I picked him back up and wrapped all of his electronic arms together in webs. He looked completely confused. "What's my time?" I laughed. He just glowered at me in response.

I rolled my eyes and swung toward Squirrel Girl. "You're not so bad after all, for a furry human." I laughed. She just chattered at me in response, I realized she had almost buck teeth.

"Your family from the south?" I laughed. "Actually yes. Which is so much better than you jerks here." She ran toward Juggernaut, squirrels in tow. I shook my head and laughed.

Kimberly POV
I followed my step father toward the center of town, he didn't seem to notice me following him, or didn't care. I sped up to where I was rift behind him and put the tip of mine on top of his. I pushed down so his glider shook and he started to fall.

"Kimberly!?" He snarled as he fell, catching himself with his glider. "Green Goblin was supposed to kill you! Leave it to the weaker ones to screw up." He griped.

"My brother was not a weaker one! You killed him!" I yelled, directing my glider straight down. I almost landed on top of him, but he quickly pulled right and up.

I clumsily hit the ground and Harry laughed. "Looks like you're the weaker one now!" I called my glider and soared straight up to meet him. "Oh please. You're the one whose stupid judgement has blinded him from everyone else but himself." He suddenly stopped and turned toward me.

I watched his every move. "I'm so sorry. You're right." He said. Somewhere in my head a red flag went off. "I am?" I asked. "Nope!" He threw a pumpkin bomb at me!

I shuttered as it hit me, burning my skin! I smelled a weird chemical and rolled my eyes. "Weed killer. Really? You used weed killer. Nice." I got off the pavement and called my glider, getting tired of this game.

I chased him to Times Square and saw mass chaos! There was something on a large fountain in the center. It was another mutant transformer! "You've got to be kidding me." I complained.

I saw SilverMist, taking down mutants while Miss Manhattan was off to the side, watching the whole thing. Couldn't she just transport the thing away...?

I focused on my personal assignment and flew as fast as I could toward my step father. He was watching everything go on. I quickly tackled him off his glider and we fell!

He couldn't call his glider and I fell on top of him, crushing him into the pavement. He choked and coughed as I got off of him. "Even now you have to rely on me." He laughed.

"No I don't!" I roared, wrapping my vines around him, I picked him up, and held him, eye to eye. "We're just alike. We murder whomever we want for our own pleasure." Harry said, a nasty smile playing on his lips.

"Kimberly. Don't." Miss Manhattan said, holding out her hand. "We are nothing alike. You are a murderer and a horrible person. You took me away from my real parents and my childhood." I roared, the fighting had stopped.

"Kimberly. You're not thinking clearly." I heard SilverMist say. "You don't know anything!" I yelled. Harry's smile was getting wider and wider. "Perhaps you are my daughter."

"Kimberly! Listen to me! If you kill him now, you're no better than him! You'll be exactly like him." SilverMist yelled. "She's going to kill him." Miss Manhattan said, I paid no attention to her.

I shook my head and he dropped to the floor. "Get out of here. I never want to see you again!" I shrieked. He shrunk back. "But I don't understand...you're my daughter. You had the chance to kill me and didn't...?" "Not by blood. And blood is thick. I'm nothing like you. Now go! You ugly elf." I growled.

He called his glider and shakily stood up. "How..?" Miss Manhattan started. "Let's finish this fight!" SilverMist yelled. I called my glider and followed her to the silver thing.
