Hello my little pansycakes! So, I know it's been forever since I've given you guys a chapter, but I've been busy writing and I've finally gotten enough chapters ahead that I'm ready to post. My plan is that if I write several chapters ahead, than I can update to you guys faster as I continue writing. So, school is finally out, and I'm super excited to be able to dedicate more time to you guys and this story. If all goes well, I should be able to get you guys a chapter every 1 or 2 weeks. And just so you guys know, this chapter is going to start off right where the last one left off, so if you guys don't remember what happened last chapter, I suggest you go back and read the last little bit. Well, without further ado, here's chapter 7. Enjoy!
Disclaimer: While I do own this fanfic, I however do not own Divergent..... or Java Jones. Nor do I own This Love Is Ours by Taylor Swift.
Tris POV
"Christina!!!" I whine as she pulls me into a store called Forever Fearless.
"Tris. When are you going to get over the fact that in order to be my best friend, you have to deal with my shopping adiction?" She says, dragging me to the dress racks in the back of the store. I simply roll my eyes as she starts piling dresses on my arms.
After trying on about 8 dresses, I finally find one I like. According to Christina, it shows off enough of my body to "drive Four wild" without making me look totally slutty. It's a short, form fitting, black dress with lace sleeves. After pairing it with black lace pumps and some jewelry, we head to the maternity section to find Chris a dress. She decides on a tight strapless dress and some simple black pumps. We pay for the dresses before heading to Java Jones to get some coffee.
As we sit down to drink our coffee, Christina goes on about the plans for the rest of our shopping trip.
"Wait, I thought we already got our party dresses. What else do we have to shop for?" I groan, bummed our shopping trip isn't over.
"Well yeah, we have dresses to wear TO the party, but when Candor or Dauntless starts, we're going to need layers, LOTS of layers, "she says like it's the most obvious thing in the world.
"Candor or Dauntless? " I ask, a look of confusion spreading across my features.
"You've never played Candor or Dauntless? "
"No...?" I say hesitantly as she looks at me in disbelief. She mutters something about being Abnegation before taking a deep breath and starting her speech.
"Okay, I'll give you the lowdown. So, it starts out, and everyone sits in a circle. One person starts by asking another player the question, "Candor or Dauntless? " If the person answers Candor, than the person that called on them gets to ask them a question where they have to answer truthfully. If they pick Dauntless, than the person that called on them gets to come up with something that they have to do. If the person that gets called on refuses to give an answer or do the dare, they have to take off an article of clothing. The last person to keep their clothes on wins the game, "Christina explains, sipping her frappuccino.
"So, the more layers you wear, the more likely you are to win, "I say, grasping the concept.
"Yep. Alright, let's get going," she says standing up to throw her coffee in the trash. I quickly chug the rest of my coffee before disposing of it and following Christina into another store.
After shopping for a while, we find some clothes for Candor or Dauntless tonight and head back to Chris' apartment. We unload our bags and head to the cafeteria to grab a quick bite to eat. Afterwards, we make our way back to the apartment.
Chris spends the next 30 minutes braiding and curling my hair and doing my makeup. As she does her own hair and makeup, I slip into my dress and heels, throwing on some jewelry Christina picked out earlier.
