"Sherlock, can I at least see him?" I asked as he walked around his bedroom at the estate four months later carrying our baby boy I had just delivered hours before.

Sherlock walked over to me and sat down in bed next to me and I smiled seeing our perfect son sleeping in his father's arms. He looked so tiny in Sherlock's arms.

"You happy it was a boy?" I asked smiling up at Sherlock from where he was now sitting next to me and my head was resting on his arm.

"I would have been happy with anything Portia." Sherlock said and I smiled.

We were at the Holmes estate, I was going to go to the hospital but everything happened so fast we didn't think we would make it. We had been staying at the estate thinking it would be better if I went into labor since I was closer to town. Problem was when I started to go into labor with my son we didn't have time, contractions came fast and it was easier to get my upstairs to Sherlocks old room. Eudoria and Beatrice were in the room with me as Sherlock paced in the hallway. Eudoria was a midwife so she was the one who delivered my baby which I was actually was happy about. The doctor came by later to check the baby and myself out.

When Sherlock walked in the room to me holding his son, he couldn't believe the sight. I looked horrible, I knew I did but he convinced me I was beautiful. I handed him our son and that was all she wrote, I hadn't held him since.

As I laid with my head on Sherlocks arm I thought about the last few months.

Irene was dead, I shot and killed her that night on London Bridge. The cops were wanting answers and Sherlock and I provided them, as much as we could. There was one downfall to her dying...I killed Watson's wife. He did not know her as Irene, she assumed another identity and went by using her way to find things out about Sherlock and me when he would go and see her. We had a long discussion about that with him later. I did feel somewhat bad for killing someone he thought loved him but I did not feel bad for killing the woman who terrorized me and my husband.

Sherlock moved back into the cottage and became the most attentive husband I could have ever hoped for, almost to the point of being annoying. When he found me on London Bridge that night he knew the night could have gone very differently and he wasn't going to waste another moment.

He like Enola was sure that baby was going to be a girl and I think I always knew it would be a boy, mothers intuition I guess. Sherlock and I were going strong, our bond and marriage together was something that was never going to be torn apart again.

I started to doze off laying on Sherlock's strong arm when our son whimpered and I was instantly awake.

"Is he okay?" I asked as he kept whimpering and then started crying.

"I think he might be hungry." Sherlock said. I sat up as Sherlock handed him to me. I looked at Sherlock.

"Are you going to give me privacy?" I asked and he smiled, leaned down giving me a small kiss and then walked out of the room.

I undid the top few button of my nightgown and went about feeding my son as he quickly latched on. I smiled at him as he fed.

"God, I love you more than words and actions can even describe. You don't know what you mean to me in this world. You were a bright shining point when I thought the world was grim, dark and evil. You were everything pointing me to this moment. I love you so much. Your daddy loves too. He may be stubborn and hardheaded sometimes but we choose to love that about him and you will too. You have a whole family who is going to fuss over you soon so I hope you're ready...especially your Aunt Enola." I said smiling. I just looked at this perfect child Sherlock and I created. I didn't know how it was possible to love something so much I just basically met.

Once I finished feeding Sherlock came walking back in but he wasn't alone. Enola and Tewkesbury came walking in behind him.

"Are you up for some visitors?" Sherlock asked and even though I was exhausted I nodded my head. Enola was rushing over, and I handed her the baby.

"He's beautiful!" Enola said and I smiled as Sherlock sat next to me, placed his arm around me and I leaned into his side. "Even though he does look like Sherlock." Enola teased and Sherlock just smiled as I looked up at him.

"Then he will be one handsome boy." I said and Sherlock leaned down giving me a small kiss.

"Have you two decided on a name?" Tewkesbury asked and I sighed looking at Sherlock.

"We didn't even think of anything. I think we thought when he got here, we would know..." I said and Sherlock sighed.

"I did have an idea, I wasn't sure if you would want to hear it." Sherlock said and I nodded.

"Always."

"Theodore Edward Holmes." Sherlock said and I smiled.

"I love it! Our little Theo." I said and Sherlock nodded as did Enola and Tewkesbury.

"It's perfect." Enola said and went to hand the baby to Tewkesbury. He was very hesitant and looked at me.

"Go ahead, you'll be fine." I said and he took the baby and then smiled.

"It will be them soon." I whispered to Sherlock.

"Don't do that, don't try and kill me." Sherlock said and I laughed.

**A YEAR AND A HALF LATER**

I was standing behind Enola as she and Tewkesbury said their vows in the backyard of the Holmes estate. His mother wanted something extravagant, but this is what he and Enola wanted, and it was all about them. I looked across the way and saw Sherlock standing there and I hated to admit how good he looked in a tux.

He winked at me, and I smiled at him. I then heard a baby giggling and I looked to see Theo sitting with Eudoria and laughing at a butterfly flying around him. Enola and Tewkesbury smiled at his laughter. He then saw Sherlock and reached for him.

My son, one year old and the most perfect baby in the world. He and Sherlock were my world, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

"I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss your bride." The officiant said and I smiled as I watched them kiss knowing they had a life of love and happiness waiting for them.

Later in the evening the band was playing in the house as I was sitting with Theo. Sherlock was mingling, making his rounds. A slow song started to play, and I watched Enola and Tewkesbury on the dance floor. I then saw Sherlock come over, take Theo, kissing his cheek and handing him to Beatrice.

"May I have this dance lovely wife of mine?" Sherlock asked and I placed my hand in his that he offered.

"You may." We walked to the dancing floor and Sherlock pulled me close to him.

"I haven't seen much of you today."

"Well, I was busy getting your sister ready." I said and Sherlock smiled looking over at her. "You and Eudoria walking her down the aisle was perfect today." I said and Sherlock nodded.

"It was hard to give her away, but I know she is going to a guy who will take care of her." Sherlock said and I smiled.

"Wasn't it you a few years ago saying you didn't trust him?" I asked and Sherlock chuckled.

"A few years ago, yes, but I also kissed you at a wedding and ran away." Sherlock added.

"That you did. Don't do it again Mr. Holmes." I spoke.

"Never Mrs. Holmes." Sherlock said leaning in and passionately kissing me right there on the dance floor.
