Three days had passed since you had been taken, three days of practical insanity at the base of the 141; occupied by men full of grief and anger. Ghost wasn't sleeping, wasn't eating unless told, and had nearly been kicked off the case more than once for his insufferable attitude towards nearly everyone. He had been ordered to stay near König, the only one who could calm him down to even some resemblance of the soldier he used to be.
Price had called everyone to a debriefing room, everybody standing around the table since no one felt like sitting as they felt like all they had been doing since your disappearance was sitting and waiting. A team outside the 141 had been sent looking for you, Laswell insisting it not be your own group to go just yet in the event that you were bait to draw one of them out. Most of the boys knew that wasn't true, this was personal to you, otherwise, you'd be much easier to find if they wanted anyone else. In truth, Laswell didn't think half the 141 had the headspace to do this mission, far too attached to you than they would normally be if you were just another soldier like you were to the current search party.
"Why are we here, Price? Is there any news?" Gaz broke the lengthening silence, finally back from his solo mission yesterday only to be greeted with this shit show.
Price seemed to snap out of whatever stooper he had been stuck in, staring at nothing, as he cleared his throat and took something out of a folder that was sitting on the table near a portable TV with a VCR and DVD attachment. He hesitated as his hands pulled a CD or DVD from the folder and stopped before the receiver, not moving any further.
Price had been in and out of what seemed reality since his fight with Ghost and dropping the bomb that he was your father. The team hadn't been able to get much information regarding that fact out of him, Price only admitting that he was in fact your biological father and that you didn't know. Laswell had been the only one to have known, finding out a few years ago when you first came to the 141, putting half the pieces together herself and Price telling her the rest.
Price took in a shuddering breath before speaking, twirling the DVD he procured from the folder. "This was delivered to the base headquarters and addressed to me. To us." He looked at the writing on the disc. "It didn't come with any letter, the only note it has is 'Save her, they've been doing this too long.' written on the top of the disc. I wanted all of us here to see whatever it is, the more eyes to see what evidence another may miss, the better."
The group said nothing as they gathered around the table, squeezing together to see the screen. Konig stood behind Ghost, his hand sneaking around his mate to rest on the table in front of them to grab Ghost if what Konig thought this tape might contain was true.
Price placed the DVD inside the slot without another word, letting it play while everyone silently watched. Static was on the TV first for a moment before switching to a large room made of concrete, everyone's breath hitching at a naked you on an operating table, all limbs chained to a separate corner. Ghost and Konig tensed, Konig's hand wrapping around Ghost's waist to pull him back to his chest, fighting the natural instinct of other men seeing you naked.
