Jimin was diligently working in his office when John, his assistant, entered and suggested he take a break for lunch.
John: "You've been working nonstop, boss. Please, just rest for a bit and have something to eat. You even skipped breakfast today. Give me the file, and I’ll take care of it. You deserve a break."
Jimin: "It’s fine, John. I’ll eat once I finish this file. It’ll only take a few more minutes. You go ahead and prepare for the company meeting."
John, knowing how stubborn Jimin could be, didn’t press further. He simply nodded and left the office, understanding that arguing wouldn’t get him anywhere and not wanting to risk angering his boss.
A few minutes later, Jimin finished his work and stepped out of his office to check on the progress of the team.
Jimin: "Is everything in order?"
John: "Yes, boss. Just a few minutes, and the client will be here."
Jimin: "Did you speak with Beak, Tae's manager? Do we know when they’ll be back?"
John: "Not yet, boss. But Ken, Tae's bodyguard, mentioned it’ll take another day due to Paris Fashion Week. They should be back by tomorrow evening."
Jimin let out a deep sigh. "I see," he muttered before heading toward the meeting room.
It had been a long and exhausting day for Jimin, and although he had completed a major project, he had neglected his meals. His skipped meals were now catching up to him in the form of a throbbing headache.
When he arrived home, he found Jungkook slumped on the couch, watching TV with half-closed eyes. Jimin knew his younger brother had been waiting for his return since he hadn’t answered any of Jungkook’s calls throughout the day.
Kook: "Oh, hyung, when did you get back?" Jungkook asked, his eyes brightening at the sight of Jimin.
Jimin: "Just now. How was your day?"
Kook: "It was good, but I miss Tae. It’s so boring without him. I didn’t even get to annoy him today." Jungkook pouted.
Jimin smiled, trying to lighten the mood. "I miss him too, but it’s only been three days. What will you do when he gets married?"
Kook: "I’ll stick to him like glue, simple as that."
Jimin chuckled. "Fair enough." He massaged his temples, leaning back on the couch.
Kook, noticing his brother’s discomfort, became more serious. "Hyung, you look exhausted. Did you eat anything?"
Jimin shook his head. "I... I got caught up in work and forgot." He tried to explain, but his younger brother’s expression turned from concern to frustration.
Kook: "How could you skip your meals, hyung? You’re not a kid anymore. Why do you always neglect your health? If it were Tae, I’d have spanked him by now, but what should I do with you?" Kook's tone was stern.
Jimin, realizing he had crossed a line, tried to calm his brother down. "I’m fine. Really."
Kook growled. "You’re anything but fine."
Jimin sighed. "Okay, okay. I’ll eat. Calm down."
Kook narrowed his eyes. "You better, hyung."
Jimin smiled weakly. "Fine, appa. Can I go take a shower? My head is about to explode from this headache." He stood up, feeling the tension in his temples.
Kook: "Yes, go ahead. I’ll make you something to eat. And if your headache doesn’t get better, we’re going to the hospital."
Jimin stared at him in disbelief. "Seriously?"
Kook nodded firmly. "Yes. And if you start throwing a tantrum like Tae, I won’t hesitate to kidnap you to the hospital."
Jimin raised his hands in surrender. "I got it. Now, just make my food, angry bunny." He shot a playful pose before heading to his room to freshen up.
Later, when Jimin returned to the dining table, Kook had prepared his meal. Jimin sat down quietly, and Kook served him.
Jimin: "Did you eat dinner?" he asked, noticing his brother hadn’t touched the food.
Kook: "No, I was waiting for you." He sat down with Jimin, ready to join him at the table.
Kook: "So, how did the deal go?"
Jimin smiled, clearly pleased. "It went well. And John said Tae will be back tomorrow."
Kook: "I’ll go pick him up from the airport then."
Jimin nodded. "That’s a good idea. I was going to ask you to do that anyway, since I’ll be tied up with work."
Kook, still concerned, added, "I just wonder if he ate anything while he was away. If he starts skipping meals again for some so-called dieting, he’ll regret it."
Jimin chuckled softly. "He won’t. If I were him, I would never do it again after what happened last time. I had to punish him for it."
Kook: "Yeah, but that’s Tae. He likes to repeat his mistakes."
Jimin smiled. "I can see you really miss him. By the way, did you see the W Korea magazine and Celine covers? He looked stunning."
Kook: "Yeah, I saw. I can’t believe he’s the same guy who lives with us." He laughed.
Jimin shook his head, amused. "It’s not true. You’re the one who makes his life so chaotic." He finished eating, placing his plate in the sink.
Kook: "It’s fun, though." He followed Jimin’s lead, leaving his plate in the sink as well.
