It's Nationals, the biggest competition Bright Fields have ever entered. We've got everything to gain and everything to lose. Meredith wants Me, Zoe, Raven and Bullet to come first, and she'll take them away if we don't. Which is tricky 'cause right now Holloway are the favorites. But we could do it. We need grit determination, a little bit of luck...
"How's it going, me hearties?" Becky asked dressed in a pirate smuggler costume
And an epic pirate mascot.
"Uh... Kind of nervous." Susie said
"Yeah, I have butterflies in my stomach for sure." I said and Zoe agreed with me
"Mine feel more like pterodactyls." Jade said
"Good. You should be nervous. We have to win" Mia said as we all kind of stood in a circle
"Mia." Marcus said
"What? We need the prize money to rebuild the stables. or Bright Fields is gone forever." Mia said
"Okay. Everyone, relax. We can't worry about what's next. We trained for this. We're ready. Get out there and enjoy yourselves." Marcus told us
"But mainly, don't lose." Mia said. I was standing by Bullet
"I think he's picking up on my nerves." I told Marcus
"He'll do that. You gotta make him feel like it's just a regular day. Stick to your routine." Marcus said and I nodded before he walked away
"Talk to him." I said walking closer to Bullet
"Pet him" I said while petting him
"Feed him mints." I said before going into my pocket and grabbing the small container and poured some mints in my hand before letting Bullet eat them

I and Zoe were running and went to round a corner when I accidentally bumped into James causing me to drop my helmet, gloves and Bullet's mints
"I'm sorry" I said as James leaned down to grab my stuff for me
"No, no. My fault. I wasn't concentrating. Here." James said handing me my gloves and helmet
"Hey" Gaby said
"Hey, yourself" I said as James stood back up
"See the course?" Zoe asked
"Yeah. Looks kind of tricky." Gaby said
"I guess we'll just have to do our best." I said
"There's a real buzz about you two, Bullet and Raven. You guys are the ones to beat." James said
"Why is he being so nice?" Zoe asked and they laughed
"Sorry our training didn't work out. But you guys will always follow your own rules. Using your voices, your other little motivating techniques." James told I and Zoe as he handed me Bullet's mints
