"Made some real progress this week." James continued
"What, you aren't pleased?" James questioned once he noticed Gaby's facial expressions
"No, I am. I'm just-- I'm worried about Audrey" Gaby answered
"Bullet isn't hers. She lucked into him like she's lucked into everything else in her life. I keep thinking about when we were kids. I'm trying to make it up to you, Gaby." James said
"You really think Meredith is just gonna give him to us?" Gaby said doubtfully
"She will when she sees how well we're doing. If we get Bullet..." James started
"I win gold at Nationals... and Holloway takes home the cup." Gaby finished
"And no one will ever think they're better than us again." James added

Audrey's Pov
I woke up to hear my alarm and I got out of bed and walked up to my calendar
Nationals is just a day away. Everyone's pushing themselves to the limit 'cause we all know the same thing.
I crossed out the day before getting ready and going to Holloway
You can't just sit there and wait for life to give you what you want. Sometimes... you need to take it.
I walked into Holloway's tack room and grabbed a saddle pad and saddle for Bullet before walking back out and going to Bullet's stable
"Hey, Bullet" I said before opening his stable door
"Ready for our last full day of training?" I asked as I put the saddle pad and saddle on him. I was getting it situated when I stepped on something, I bent down to pick it up only to see it was a horse brush

"Failure is not an option. It's win or go home. Alex, shorten your reins and do it again." James said when Alex messed up one of the jumps. I had jumped over one of the last jumps without messing up at all
"That's it, Audrey. Enjoy the ride and the rest will follow." Marcus told me making James laugh
"Where did you learn that? Horse Training for Beginners?" James questioned as I rode up to Marcus
"Ignore him. He's threatened. You're a great trainer." I said before getting off of Bullet
"Do you think, Bullet's okay? Has he seemed... low-energy to you?" I asked Marcus as Bullet rubbed his face against my shoulder
