Do We Have A Deal?

Preinitiation

3rd POV

Locking her unit Yang makes her way to the auditorium. Upon arriving she sees headmaster Ozpin and his assistant Glynda Goodwitch on a stage.

Ozpin: "You think going here will free from the burden of expectation. But you'll quickly see that that just isn't the case. Going here you'll learn that it'll be up to you to take the plunge."

Ozpin steps away. Glynda then steps in front of the microphone.

Glynda: "Tonight all of you shall gather in the ballroom. Get plenty of rest because tomorrow you'll take your initiation. You're dismissed."

After a good night's sleep the students make their way to the locker room where they collect their weapons.

Ruby: "Well, today's the day. The day I get to let my baby do all the talking. No more awkward small talk or get to know you stuff."

She cradles her scythe before holstering it behind her. 

Ruby: "You excited?"

Yang: "Yep. I get to punch stuff and not get in trouble."

Ruby: "You worry me sometimes."

Yang: *cocks eyebrow* "How?"

Ruby: "That anger of yours. It not like any I've ever seen. It's almost unnatural how much you've got."

Yang: "It's not anger. It's enthusiasm."

Ruby: "Whatever you have to tell yourself."

Yang rolls her eyes. 

Speaker: "All first years please report to Beacon Cliff for initiation."

Ruby: "That's our cue."

The two sisters leave the locker room, heading to Beacon Cliff. That's when they're met with Ozpin and Glynda.

Ozpin: "All your lives you've trained. And today all of that training will be put to the test."

Glynda: "I'm sure most of you might be confused by the rumors of teammates. Allow me to end that confusion by saying that those rumors are true. You'll be given teammates and you'll be given them today."

Ozpin: "Upon landing the first person you see shall be your partner. Once you've partnered up you both are to head to the north end of the forest to a relic temple. There each pair will collect a relic and bring it back here to receive a grade. Are these rules clear?"

All the students nod in agreement.

Ozpin: "Then let's get started."

One by one the students are launched into the forest below them. With Yang we see her smiling as she soars through the air. When she begins her descent her smile widens. Holding out her hands it grabs ahold of a branch. 

She's swung around before letting go. She's launched into a somersault before sticking the landing. Standing up she looks away.

Yang: "Alright. Now to head to the relic temple."

She takes a step when a twig snaps. She's then quickly surrounded by a pack of Ursai. 

Yang: "Aww, all you guys teamed up to take down little old me?"

The Ursa Major stands on its back legs and roars. This sends the rest of the Ursai at Yang. She develops a terrifying smile while raising her fists.

Yang: "Bring it on."
