A Miracle

3rd POV

Y/N: "Hello?"

Summer: "Y/N! Quick, come to the hospital! It's Raven!!!!"

Fearing the worst he hops onto his bike and guns it to the hospital. Upon arriving he books it to his wife's room. Reaching the room he sees her standing and smiling.

Y/N: "Raven."

Raven: "Hi honey."

Y/N: "How?"

He shakes his head. He then wraps his wife in a deep hug.

Raven: "You okay?"

Y/N: "Never been better."

She smiles returning his hug. Several days later at Y/N's house Summer and Y/N talk while Raven chats with everyone.

Y/N: "It's so weird."

Summer: "Tell me about it. One moment she's knocking on death's door. Then the next it's like the leukemia wasn't even there."

Y/N: "It's like a miracle."

Summer: *sharp exhale* "Drastic understatement."

They enter the living room. Upon seeing her husband she smiles, walking to him.

Raven: "Since we're all here. I feel it's the perfect time."

Y/N: "Perfect time for what?"

She smiles with tears rolling down her cheeks. She then places her hand on her stomach.

Raven: "To tell you that you're gonna be a father."

He goes wide eyed while everyone else cheers.

Summer: "I'm gonna be an aunt!!!!"

Qrow: "And I'm gonna be an uncle!!!!"

Later that night Y/N and Raven lay on the couch, watching a movie. Raven then turns to Y/N.

Raven: "You okay? You've been quiet ever since I told you I was pregnant."

Y/N: "Just nervous."

Raven: "About what?"

He sighs.

Y/N: "It's just I never saw myself settling down. All my life I drifted through foster care. I didn't really see myself going anywhere. Far as I saw, I was probably gonna join the military where I would die and be forgotten. But then I met you. You brought a purpose to my life. Now that you're carrying my child, I'm just nervous that I won't be a good father."

Raven: "Oh honey."

She cups his cheek.

Raven: "You may be rough around the edges and have a slight anger problem."

He slightly narrows his gaze while groaning.

Raven: "But I can tell you've got a heart of gold. So long as you use that as a guiding hand, you'll easily become the best father in history."

He smiles kissing her deeply.

Y/N: "I love you."

She giggles laying her head on his chest.

Raven: "I love you more."

*timeskip*

Three months into Raven's pregnancy we see Y/N in a grocery store. He looks high and low on the shelf. Shaking his head he brings his scroll to his ear.

Y/N: "They don't have it."

Raven: "Then don't worry about it. So long as you got the banana pudding then we'll be okay."

Y/N: "Then that'll conclude this impromptu shopping spree. I'll check out and be home in five minutes."

Raven: "Good. Because my feet are killing me and your famous foot rub is sounding really good"

Y/N chuckles.

Y/N: "Be there quick as I can."

Hanging up he checks out. Then loading up his bike he speeds down the road.

Y/N: "Hope these items last longer than last time. But seeing how much our food budget has increased thanks to that thing inside her, I doubt it."

He smiles before coming to a stop at a red light. As he waits sirens wail. Tires squealing then fill the air. Turning his head the only thing he sees is a car crashing into him.
