(A/N: I did a different method of writing where I just wrote and only fixed grammar, this would usually be my rough draft, while my final rough draft focuses and changing words around and going into more length and detail on things. So this is my rough draft that just focuses on grammar only, so it may look different than chapters 1-3. 𝗦𝗼 𝗹𝗲𝘁 𝗺𝗲 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝘄𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘁𝘆𝗹𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. "So let me get this straight...you're a ghost," Sky asked the man in front of her "Spirit" he corrected.
"Right.." sky said as if this wasn't the first encounter
Sky-eyed Lieutenant Mak skeptically. While she knew spirits walked the mortal realm in her tribe's homeland, actually encountering one was another thing entirely.
"Forgive me if I find this hard to believe Lieutenant," she said carefully. "You'll understand my hesitation without some proof."
Mak nodded sagely. "Of course, I expected as much. Allow me to demonstrate-" He lifted a smooth stone from the ground and held it suspended between his hands. A faint blue glow emanated from his fingertips. "As a spirit, I have limited control over the elements. My abilities are not as strong as when I was alive, but I hope this shows I speak the truth."
Sky watched in awe as the stone rose and fell at Mak's command. "I see. Well, you've convinced me of your nature, if not your purpose for seeking me out " she began to say
Mak released the stone and bowed his head respectfully. "Sky you already knew this," he said gesturing to the two spirits in the room now. Jason and Mason stared in awe. "Did you know we had powers" Mason whispered to Jason. Jason closed his mouth still processing everything and staying deadly silent.
Sky turned to Jason and Mason almost in shock. "So you are hiding something" she implied.
Jason sighed "For good reason but-" he began to explain before Sky cut him short "So besides hiding something you are lying to me," she said as Mak cleared his throat.
Everyone turned to face him.
"The spirit council-"Mak began to say before Sky spoke again "I thought you said councilman Sokka sent you yet he's dead," she said bitterly.
Mason and Jason now stood behind the sky.
"Sokka is a spirit council," Jason said whispering in her ear.
"Oh-?" Sky said a bit shocked
"At the garden, I had a vision of two past avatars-"Sky began to ask. "Is this what this is about? I thought I needed Korra to talk to the spirit council" she questioned.
Mak holds up his hands peacefully. "Please, allow me to explain. What I said was true - Councilman Sokka did send me, though he resides now in the spirit world as you surmised. When powerful benders or those closely connected to the spirit world pass, their essence may join the ranks of the spirit council as guardian spirits. Sokka watches over the mortal and spirit realms from there."
