Chapter 48 - The day

After a few months

It was the British Grand Prix. Toto was at his post waiting for the race to start at any moment. Leah is in Toto's office to rest, she is in her ninth month after all. The race has started and the adrenaline is running high. Leah is watching the race on the big TV  in Toto's office with a smile, all his drivers are in first place at the moment, but not for long.  Verstappen passes Russell and Hamilton, which angers Toto

In the following laps, Hamilton and Verstappen fight for first place. It is very difficult for both of them. Soon Hamilton feels something is happening with his car and talks to Toto on the radio

"Toto, I think I have a problem with the car"

"What problem?"  Toto tries to remain calm

"The brakes..almost don't work and my seat is getting hot"

"At the pit stop we will fix everything Lewis just keep going a little longer. We have a chance to beat Red Bull"

The race continues and at the pit stop Mercedes fix all the problems they had with Lewis car. The race goes according to Toto's plan and Leah can't help but be happy. Toto and Lewis keep in touch on the radio the whole time

But soon the problems start, not on the track, but just as serious

Toto sees that his phone is ringing and sees that it is one of his employees. He doesn't pick up because he has more important work at the moment, but when he sees Leah's name written on his phone, he immediately picks up

Leah is in terrible pain in her stomach and some of Toto's team are already there to help her

"Toto" Leah says in agony and he is immediately worried about her

"Honey? Leah what's going on, are you okay?" He furrowed his brows

"Toto..My water just broke...I think I'm in labor!" Leah says as she tries to calm herself down

Toto is still with the microphone on.
" You're giving birth??"he asked in disbelief of what he was hearing

"I am giving birth?What" Lewis asked confused because Toto was with the microphone on

"Leah I'm coming just calm down!"

Toto threw his headphones on the desk and ran to his office to see his beloved

When he entered the room he saw Leah on the ground while his team was calming her. Leah looked in terrible pain and Toto immediately took her in his arms and they went to his car. Toto was driving so fast and in  5 minutes they were in front of the hospital

The doctors met them and took Leah to the delivery room. Soon their friends and families came to the hospital to support them in such an important moment. Some of the f1 drivers came too.

Toto walked into Leah's room and held her hand. Leah was screaming in pain and Toto couldn't look at her like that

"Leah you are doing great ,keep going" Toto said and he stroke her hair gently

The minutes felt like hours. And then, with one last push, the room was filled with the sound of a newborn crying. Leah cried too the moment their child was born.

  Tears welled up in Toto's eyes when he saw the small, squirming form of his newborn.  The doctor picked up their child, announcing

“It's a boy!”

Leah took a breath she hadn't realized she was holding, her face a mixture of exhaustion and pure joy.

"He's a perfection"Toto smiles at the baby and he kisses your forehead

The doctors take the baby and do tests to see if the baby is okay, during this time Toto is by your side looking at you with so much love. 

Soon your friends and family are let into the room and they all congratulate you on your baby. Toto's drivers come in last and Lewis is holding a bouquet of beautiful flowers and George is carrying a teddy bear and food. Toto can't believe the kind gesture they made

"Oh guys, this is so sweet! Thank you"you say and smile still exhausted

"Congrats on the baby! We're glad to be a part of it"Lewis and George said
