Chapter 63

*night-time

Toto turns to my side and caresses my  hair and kiss my forehead

"You are amazing, you know that?" He asked me while caressing my hair

"Maybe I do"

Toto pulls me close to him  so my head would lie on his chest. He keeps gently caressing my  hair while  holding me tight

After a few minutes of comfortable silence he spoke up

" hey, love?" I just hummed in response

"I have been wanting to ask you something for a while now, but I never really know how to bring it up without sounding like an idiot"

"I'm listening"

"okay, so... You know I absolutely adore how our life is right now, wouldn't change a thing. But I have been thinking... What do you think about it if we had one more baby?"

Silence.

"Oh..."

He look down on me a bit worried

"you don't seem too excited about the idea..." he says

"It's just...I don't know...isn't Jack too young "

His expression visibly softens

" he is still pretty young, sure. But the age gap between him and the next child probably wouldn't be that big. And he'd probably love having a sibling."

"I'd think about it"

He kiss the top of my  head

"okay, take your time to think about it. I just wanted you to know that I would love to have another child. But I won't make you do anything you don't want to, you know that, right?"

"Of course I know "

He smiles at me

"I love you so much. You know that, right? Like, you are literally the best thing that has ever happened to me."

"No,i love you more...Goodnight, Toto"

"Alright. Goodnight, my love."

/Morning/

Toto Wolff's  POV

as the first lights of the day break through from the window and fill up the room I slowly open my eyes. I reach over to her side of the bed only to realize that she's  not besides me. I let out a sigh, feeling a bit disappointed, and sit up, rubbing my eyes so I can wake up properly. As I'm sitting upright I hear noises from the kitchen so I get up and head out to investigate what is going on*

*As I head to the kitchen I start to smell the familiar aroma of coffee. I step in the kitchen to see  her busy making some breakfast. I silently approach her and when I'm right behind her I wrap my arms around  her  waist and pull her a bit closer to me

"Good morning..."

I say in a sleepy, raspy voice as I bury my face in the crook between her shoulder and neck. I take a deep breath, taking in the familiar scent of her skin, which makes me pull leah even closer to me*

I place a few kisses on her  shoulder before I speak up again

"you are up quite early, love"

"I am"

I notice how a bit cold and distant Her response sounded

" is...everything okay, love?"

She nods

I  stay silent for a few moments as I look at her.I can sense that there is something going on in her  head even though her response said otherwise. I continue holding her and finally speak up again

" are you sure about that? You sound a bit...off"

I continue to hold her while I look at her expression and body language to try to read her

"I know you love me, but I also know you pretty damn well by now. So you can talk to me, you know. About anything. Anytime."

I keep holding her waiting for her to speak up. I can clearly sense that shes troubled about something

" I won't push you to say anything, but you can trust me. Whatever is on your mind, you know you can share it with me and I will listen."

"I'm just thinking Toto"

I  give her a reassuring squeeze

"About what, love? Is it about what I said last night? About having another baby?"

"Yes" Oh...

*I sigh quietly and rest my chin on your shoulder

" I'm sorry, love. I didn't mean to put you to the spot yesterday. Like I said, you can have all the time you need to think about it. Don't think too much about it, love. And don't stress out either. I will love and cherish you no matter what kind of decision you make."

"We'll see,ok"

*I give her another little squeeze* okay. But I mean what I said. You don't need to stress out about it. I just wanted to throw a possibility on the table. I love the life we have now, and I love you. No matter what. You get that? *I give her shoulder a light kiss*
