A few months later,2025
toto is currently sitting in his office, stressing about the upcoming season.he has a meeting with the team coming up in a few hours, and he's still in his pajamas.he takes a sip of his coffee and runs a hand through his messy hair.
"Goodmorning" you say while smiling
"Morning" Toto sighs and rubs his eyes. "How do you always manage to look so put together this early in the morning?"
"Hm?Maybe I don't stress so much over nothing, like you do."
Toto rolls his eyes. "I'm not stressing over nothing. The upcoming season is going to be tough. Mercedes has a new driver and Ferrari is still trying to figure out their strategy. It's my job to be prepared."
"I know it's hard but you'll do great as a team principal ,I mean it's not your first year, right?"
"You always have so much faith in me." Toto says with a small smile. "Sometimes I think you're too optimistic"
"Well of course I do!I'm your wife now and you need some support"
Toto gives a sly smirk as he responds. "Optimism, eh? Well, it's a refreshing change from my pessimism, but don't worry, I'm sure you'll find something to worry about soon enough."
"Hey!No ,I won't,our Jack doesn't give us reason to worry about"
Toto glances over to the baby monitor on his desk, where he can see their baby, Jacks face contorted in peaceful sleep. He cracks a smile. "Ah, yes. Our little angel is an expert at keeping his parents sane and stress-free. Well, at least most of the time."
"When do you have to be there?"
Toto checks the time on his watch. "In about an hour. I should probably go get ready." He stands up from his desk and stretches. "Ugh, I'm already dreading the meeting. It's going to be a long one, I can feel it."
"But hey, at least when I get back we can spend some time with Jack. I miss him already," Toto rubs his temple, trying to ease the tension headache growing behind his eyes
"You can rest today after the meeting we will spend time when you're not so stressed " you say a but concerned about him
Toto gives a weary nod. "You're right, you're right. As usual. I guess I do need to take a break. You know me, I tend to obsess over work when I'm stressed."
"I'll be back soon. Don't miss me too much."
As Toto heads for the door, he can feel the tension in his shoulders ease
a bit. Just seeing her there, always has a calming effect
on him. He stops in the doorway, pausing for a moment to look at her.
"I'll make this quick," he says, his tone a bit softer than before. "I'll be back by lunch,
and then we can spend the afternoon together. Deal?"
"As long as you feel okay"
He reluctantly tears his gaze away from her and leaves, shutting the door softly behind him. As he walks down the hallway towards the office, he can't help but feel a pang of loneliness. He knows he should feel more relaxed now that he's temporarily free from work obligations, but the absence of her presence is already starting to weigh on him.
Toto arrives at his office and starts to prepare for the meeting, his mind still half-focused on her. He checks his watch. Two hours to go.
The two hours pass agonizingly slowly, and Toto sits through the meeting with a growing sense of impatience. He tries to focus on the discussion, but his mind keeps wandering back to his home and his wife.
Finally, the meeting ends, and Toto stands up from his chair, his body aching from sitting still for so long. He gathers his things and exits the office, his thoughts centered on getting back home as soon as possible.
The drive home is a blur, and Toto barely registers the passing landscape. He pulls into the driveway, his heart heavy as he realizes how much he's missed his wife.
Toto steps inside, and as if on cue, their son, Jack, comes running over to greet him. The sight of their child's smiling face immediately lifts Toto's spirits, and he picks Jack up, giving him a tight hug.
"Hey there, little man," he says, his voice warm and affectionate. "Daddy missed you."
Jack babbles gibberish in response, his tiny hands grabbing at Toto's shirt
Toto laughs, feeling his heart swell with love. He takes a moment to relish in the joy of being home with his family, pushing thoughts of work to the back of his mind. Jack giggles and squirms in his arms, clearly eager to play.
"Alright, alright. Let me set my stuff down first," Toto says, walking over to the couch and dropping his briefcase and jacket onto it. He sets Jack down on the ground and watches as the little boy immediately darts off to explore.
Toto glances around the room, noticing that his wife is nowhere to be seen. He heads towards the kitchen, assuming she's probably in there. Sure enough, he finds her standing at the counter, chopping vegetables for lunch.
He comes up behind her and wraps his arms around her waist, burying his face in her hair.
"Hey," he murmurs, inhaling the familiar scent of her. "I missed you."
She leans back into his embrace, her body melting against his.
"I missed you too," she says softly. "I was starting to worry you'd be stuck in that meeting all day."
Toto gives a tired chuckle. "I nearly was. The other team principals didn't want to shut up, as usual. I was ready to scream."
"At least you didn't break another pair of headphones" you chuckle at your own joke
Toto's laughs. "I'm glad you find my stress- induced headphone-breaking so amusing."
His hands wander under her shirt, gently tracing the curve of her waist with his fingertips.
"I can think of much better ways to de-stress," he whispers, pressing a kiss to the side of her neck.
She shivers under his touch, her body responding to his proximity.
"Go look after Jack!" You scold him
Toto groans dramatically but reluctantly releases her from his embrace.
"Alright, alright. I get it. Parental duties come first."
He grins and heads into the living room, where he finds Jack playing with a toy car.
Jack's eyes light up when he sees his father approach, and he scrambles to his feet, tottering over to Toto with a wide grin.
Toto scoops him up into his arms, his heart swelling with love for his son. "Hey there, buddy," he says, tweaking Jack's nose. "What have you been up to?"
Jack babbles in response, his chubby hands reaching for Toto's face.
Toto laughs and sets Jack down on the ground. "Alright, little man. Let's see what mischief you can get into."
Jack giggles and drops the car, moving on to another toy. Toto watches him play, his heart swelling with pride. Despite the stress of work, moments like this make it all worth it.
After a few minutes, Jack seems to tire of the toys and waddles over to Toto, grabbing at his pant leg.
"Hmm, what's that?" Toto asks, feigning ignorance. "You want me to pick you up?"
Jack nods vigorously, and Toto obliges, lifting him up onto his lap.
Jack pats Toto's face, and Toto chuckles, feeling a wave of affection for his son.
"You're getting so big," Toto says, gently bouncing Jack on his knee. "Before we know it, you'll be running around like a madman. Then I'll need to invest in a lot more coffee."
"Daddy coffee is bad for you"
Toto chuckles, a mix of amusement and surprise at his son's words. "Oh, is that so?"
His wife calls out from the kitchen, the scent of a freshly cooked lunch filling the air.
"Lunch is ready!" she calls. "Could you come over?"
Toto looks down at Jack, who's sitting on his lap, and pats his head.
"Come on, little man. Let's go eat."
