Chapter 27
Treasure's POV:

Darkness, once again. I feel like you can feel the type of darkness that's surrounding you. In my case I know I'm not dead. This darkness just screams danger but not death. I would know the difference because I've been in both situations before and death doesn't feel anything like this.

It's quiet. A little too quiet. But the air is thick and has a strong smell of chlorine. I'm awake, I would just rather keep my eyes closed, scared of what might be in front of me. I've definitely been kidnapped, again, but it was Elijah's men. So it's either Elijah kidnapped me again or he has some unloyal men and they kidnapped me to possibly get revenge on Elijah. Dumb to think I'm the right person to kidnap when they had more choices like someone he actually cares about. Like his family that was sitting all around me.

But I can be wrong.

I tried to move my hand but i couldn't. I'm now noticing that I'm tied to the chair. I couldn't move too much trying not to attract attention to whoever's in the room.

I heard shuffling in the room but I stilled and still didn't open my eyes. Someone is definitely in here with me. And if they're waiting for me to wake up it won't happen because I'm not opening my eyes.

They were walking around but never not once touched me. It was until I heard water slap amongst a person making me jump, thinking it was me. Let's just pray nobody seen me jump.

Okay, if the water didn't touch me, that means that someone else was hit with the water. "Rise and shine sweetheart." A voice spoke in my direction. I didn't move. If they didn't see me jump then they wouldn't know that i'm awake so i just need to hope nobody saw me.

"I know you're awake." I didn't give away anything.

"Alright." The person muttered. Welp he's definitely gonna do something to me and I need to prepare for it.

A few minutes of nothing happening, a hand then caressed my arm softly, adding more chills all over my body. The room is already cold as it is. "Tereso, open your eyes." Elijah spoke into my ear.

"You know if you wanted to take me somewhere all you had to do was ask." I said, still keeping my eyes shut. That guard is such a snitch. He couldn't fulfill the tasks so he went to his father to ask for help. Once I find out who that was, I'll never say or do anything to him because he'll snitch on me, straight to his daddy like a good boy.

"Would you have gotten in the car if I asked?"

"I don't know. Maybe. But we won't know because you didn't ask."

"Asking or not, I got you here and that's all that matters." He still caressed my arms, up and down. Running his fingers lightly against my skin as he stood behind me.

"Why am I here?"

"Open your eyes and you'll find out." There's a reason why I feel so anxious. And I can admit, I'm scared to find out. Me being tied to a chair is never a good sign. "Open your eyes Athena." Scared of what he'll do if I don't, I played it safe and just opened my eyes regretting it the moment I witnessed what was in front of me. "Oh my god." I gasped.

There were 5 men in here with me, all wearing suits and all tied to a chair beaten to a plump. I couldn't even recognize any of them. "Elijah what the hell is this?" I thrashed in my seat trying to break off the binds.

"This, sweetheart, is what happens when you don't follow simple orders." He comes from behind me and sits at the edge of a table that's right next to me. I didn't even notice the table. It held all kinds of weapons and things used to torture people.

"What are you talking about?" I gritted out, but instead he threw his head back as a deep laughter came from his throat.

"Tesoro, now is not the time to play dumb." He said after he came down from his high. "I'll help you out. What do I constantly warn you about all the time that you never listen to?" He said facing towards me more. It didn't come to me as fast but during the charity ball while speaking to some of his allies, they did get a little touchy and I didn't remove their hands as quickly because I had to get the intel first. Shit. I didn't even know he knew about that. That was before he even knew I was there. Unless he knew I was there all along.
