Chapter 33
Treasure's POV:

"Missed me?" He asked me. Do I? No.

"No." I took a sip from my drink. I could hear the small chuckles that were only present for me to hear. I felt the small rumble from his chest as he was close enough, having his chest pressed up against my back..

"You sure, mi tereso?" He kissed my jawline, letting his lips linger there longer than it should've.

I really need to use google translate whenever he's around. Or maybe record every conversation we have just to later find someone to translate.

"Positive." I remained facing the bar, from time to time taking small sips from my drink. I seem to not enjoy it anymore, only having one person to blame. I tried my best to not show any type of effect the kiss could've given me.

"You look beautiful." I didn't even notice when he turned my chair so my body was facing him now and not the bar. I was looking directly at his sharply formed abs that looked structured, almost painted on to him. "Thank you." I looked up at him to find him already looking at me with an entertained smirk. He must know that I've been checking out his goddamn stomach.

"You look good too. I've never seen you in this type of attire." I changed the subject, playing with his unbuttoned shirt to emphasize my words.

No matter how many times this man compliments me, it always seems a little too good to be true. Because coming from him, it doesn't seem believable. No way to explain it but it leaves something in my stomach that I can't find out about.

"I'm not all suit and tie everyday. That's just what you see."

"No, that's what you allow me to see."

"I think it's better to keep those hidden, yea?"

"Why?" I honestly don't know what exactly we're talking about. I think we both knew that the conversation shifted from clothes to something else though. I just don't know what that something else is. Or I do. I will admit I am scared to confess.

"It'll keep us both safe."

"I didn't know I was in any danger."

"You're not, and let's keep it that way."

"What if I want to be in danger?" I kinda already am in danger. What's a little more?

"Then you're stupid."

I shrugged. "Maybe."

"Come on." He extended his hand, waiting for me to put my hands in his.

I looked down at his lingering hand before I placed mine in his, using my strength to get off the stool. "Where are we going?"

"No where specifically. But there's no way I'm gonna let you out of my sight when you look like that." He started walking.

"What do I look like?" I teased.

"Troppo bello per tutti gli altri da vedere." He muttered but loud enough from me to hear, not that I could understand anyways.

"I hate when you do that."

"I'm sorry English is not my first language." He said in his accent, slipping over a few words like he doesn't know how to say the things he's saying. I see someone in a good mood today. He never cracks jokes. And if he does it's always sarcastic or it's his asshole version of a joke.

I rolled my eyes with a small smile on my face, loving this side of Elijah.

He brought me over to his friends where he was sitting before. I gave everyone a small acknowledgement, feeling a bit awkward. It's like we're back in a high school where everyone was in groups and sectioned. I feel like a nerd that's with the jocks everyone wants to be friends with. I just know in 0.5 seconds of me sitting down, people will start talking and looking this way every 2 seconds wondering who i am and how'd i'd get the ability to sit with them.
