Chapter 29
Elijah's POV:

I left the room, leaving Athena in there to do whatever she pleased. The night still isn't over because I have yet to contact my men about the shipment. So for all I know most could be dead and that's fine but those Russians have to be dead too.

"What's the status of everybody else?" I asked one of my men that was in charge of helping Athena and I tonight.

"I haven't gotten a call."

"Someone needs to get me on the phone with Lorenzo now." Because Lorenzo is my second hand, when I'm not there he's in charge of everything.

"The place was jammed but there's someone already trying to unjam the area so they'd be able to get service."

"Let me know when you find something and send some men for cleanup." I left him in the room that we were currently in, going somewhere else to make a call. The only other person besides Lorenzo that I trust with my life is Stefano.

He's not usually the one behind the gun, but he knows how to handle himself as if he were behind a gun. Lorenzo and I would be the ones to kill and get in trouble but then Stefano would be the one to find the people we're killing or get us out of trouble. I'm way smarter than my teenage self so there's no need to get me out of trouble, it's just Lorenzo who needs a babysitter.

Leave that man alone for 5 seconds and he's doing something he knows he shouldn't be doing.

I called Stefano, it rang for a little while and to think he wasn't gonna answer he did by the last few rings. "Where are you?"

"At the building, why?"

"The shipments tonight and the Russians jammed the port so there's no contact between me and Lorenzo."

"Is there someone trying to fix it? But you want me to go check it out?"

"Yea there's trying to unblock it now and no not specifically you, send some men down there."

"Aww you don't wanna send me in danger's way. I knew you cared about me."

"I don't. I don't want you to go because why would I let my only contact go out of contact. Just send some men but don't engage. I just want to see what's happening."

"You think someone finally got to Lorenzo?"

"Never." Lorenzo is the most psychotic person I know. Nobody is gonna easily be able to kill him. That just might be impossible.

"Alright I'll let you know what happens." This is the part I hate, not knowing what's going on. I need a drink. And I know exactly who'll be able to keep me company on this wait.

Treasure's POV:

I finished using the bathroom and I don't how long I stayed in there but I just needed to sit somewhere. I finally managed to get out of the bathroom when I started to get bored.

I planned on finding Elijah but my brain feels so fucking scrambled to the point I don't wanna continue this mission. Technically the mission is done, this is just the aftermath and it's kicking my ass.

This office matches the vibes outside in the hallways with the little to minimum light and all black matte interior including the walls, floors, chairs, desk. Everything. There's no window obviously because it's underground.

But seriously when I finally can stand to have a decent conversation with the man, I have some curious questions to ask him. And not for my mission's gain, for mine because how in the hell are you capable of having a whole building underground? My head just can't wrap around how technically advanced his family is.
