Chapter 32
Treasure POV:I've never had to do so much for a pool party. I always take a shower, put the bathing suit on, find some clothes to cover up and leave. Now because I'm surrounded by the rich, I have to do little makeup, and do my hair. Usually I would put my hair in a puff, a bun or just let it out.
We finished getting ready earlier than expected, only because we had already pre planned what we were gonna wear. After the showers it was the makeup that took the longest, then hair and now we're waiting on Alora to decide what shoes she wanted to wear since she brought three options. "Alora, you've been stuck without a shoe for more than 10 minutes, you gotta pick something." I called her out,
"I know, my bad." She slipped on whatever shoe was in front of her.
Within the hours I didn't know if I should open my mouth and tell them what happened with Elijah a week ago. I just know that they weren't gonna shut up about it so I'm quite glad I ain't say anything.
"We're all ready?" Liz and I both stated that we were ready. "Great. My family's house is far from here so if we leave now we'll make it on time." One thing we bought were beach bags but thanks to Alora's beautiful brain, she thought about it, and brought Liz and I one of hers that she already owns.
We hopped in the car with Alora in the front seat. Me hurriedly called dibs to the passenger seat only because Liz's music selection is not the best in the world. So she deserved to sit in the back seat.
Alora's car was the type where the roof can go back and 20 minutes into the drive she pressed a button as the car removed the roof making the rest of the car ride a vibe. The wind hitting our faces with all of our loud, bad singing coming together, sounding even worse then apart but we gave no shits.
As we drive we can see the change in scenery. To think the suburbs would be outranked by another type of suburb. At this point the name suburb shouldn't be the name. It's just rich. Fuck that, wealth.
We passed by mansion after mansion and the only thing I was able to express was being in awe. I've seen mansions before but these are mansions that the president would live in. And to think all of this could've been earned by illegal money. They have companies that aren't illegal. Could've gotten the same result with the legal money.
We soon stopped at a red light when a car stopped right next to us. It caught our attention because their music was just as loud. It was a car full of boys with all their windows down. "Hey Lora." The driver shouted because of the clashing of both music.
I took it in my power to turn down our music and not for the peace of the poor neighborhood, but for my ears that's not comprehending both music plus the conversation that's about to start.
"What's up Cam? Hey guys. " She waved to the rest of the guys in the car.
"Who're your friends?" He nodded his head toward me and Liz. Most likely eyeing us behind his shades.
"I think we can save the introduction for later yea?"
"Sure." He gave us a smile before turning forward to face his wheel.
"Let's race." He blurted out randomly.
"Ah, you wanna cry again. " Alora grabbed her glasses that sat firmly on her face, and dragged it up, placing it on top of her head.
"I didn't cry first of all."
"Right." She smiled, clearly not believing what he said.
I looked back at Liz who was interested in the conversation. When she noticed I was facing her all she did was shrugged affirming as much as she was interested, she was lost too.
