Chapter 7
Treasure pov:

"What do you have for me?" Today is Sunday, the first day of the FBI giving us a burner phone asking if we have any new information. It was in my cluster box this morning and we had to wait for them to call. All last night Liz and I regathered all the things we learned in the past week so we wouldn't be stuck for when they asked.

"Firstly, we got the key to the security cameras at the university just in case anything happens at the school. The club, you thought that Stefano Lombardi could actually be the owner of Elite, well he's not. He only manages it."

"How you know?"

"I know we can't go based off a hunch but to me I've never seen a club owner interview people. They always have someone else do it for them, and that would be Lombardi. I'll get more information on that to back it up, but I know that I'm 100 percent right about this."

"His assistant also mentioned it. We met her when we went to the interview." Liz added.

"If you don't think he's the boss, do you have anyone else in mind?"

"No. Nobody at the club speaks of "the boss" either. It's always Mr. Lombardi this and Mr. Lombardi that. On top of that I'm pretty sure they know that Lombardi doesn't own it either, but they don't question it. We've gotten pretty close to his assistant, and speaking of her I'm meeting her at one of his companies today for lunch." I know it seems like we're using her but we're not trying to, we just wanna do our job. Naomi is a good person and a good friend to us even though we've only known each other for a week. I wouldn't want her in the mix of my work but she's the closest I've gone to know these things.

As of meeting her today, that part is true. The other day she texted saying we should hang out outside the club. She insisted on meeting at a restaurant not too far from the building, as a "good" friend, I said I'd meet her at the building so we could walk together. She invited Liz as well but Liz has a date with someone she met at the college.

"Good work Ms. Crooks and Ms. Peterson. Other than Lombardi and the assistant, have you associated with anyone else? After he asked that question, I thought about the demon spawn but there was nothing to tell. I didn't even know his name. Well, most of the times that I've seen him, it's him basically putting his hands on me telling me he could because nobody could tell him otherwise. There weren't really any moments where we could have a friendly conversation to the point we exchange names.

I remember yesterday, the bartender in the VIP section said that Lombardi was meeting his business partners, so maybe Naomi could know who that demon spawn is. I know he looks familiar, I just can't put my finger on it. At this point everyone looks familiar.

"I've seen a few of his potential business partners but no one in particular looked familiar except for one guy. I think I can figure him out if I dig a little more."

"Do remember that your team is still here if you guys ever need help. See you in the next 2 weeks." Earlier on when we first got introduced with the case he did say to give a report every week but I asked for more space making it every 2 weeks so we can have more information to give. That's only for the first month though. After that we're on our own.

When I hung up, I had to call one more person before I got rid of the burner. I rung her number and she took long to answer but she still picked up. "Bitch is that you?" She answers the phone in the most chaotic way possible. Imagine it wasn't me.

"Yea it's me." I haven't heard her voice in a while. We've texted like every day but it's not the same as living and speaking to her on the daily. "Girl, you have no idea how much I've missed you like you do not understand."
