In an endless cycle
Watching the world change
Birth and death and rebirth
Her soulmate a mortal
His life a mere grain of sand
In her endless hourglass
She watched from afar
As he lived
And loved another
Knowing they could never be together
He was everything she could never be
All the joys
And curiosity
Humanity can offer
A true unrelenting dreamer
In awe of a world so cruel and beautiful
She was with him every moment
In silence
And even in the end
Unable to love him
In the way only mortals can
