I never realized how close love and hate were
Until I found myself
Loving you
Watching you walk away again and again
Talking to your friends
While I'm next to you
Acting like I didn't exist
Why did I waste so much time
So much ducking energy
Trying to love you
A man who's own spiteful mother
Judged me without ever uttering a word to me
I wonder where you get it from
Saying such vile stuff
You are a child
So it's funny you were the older of us two
I'm not sure where you went wrong
But something was wrong with you
You'd give and inch
And I'd give a mile
I have been so badly burned
I'm quite a while
You said you loved me
But love is f a feeling
It does t just go away
You were a selfish man
And sometimes I wish
I had made you pay
Everything I ever loved about you
So easily turned to hate
When the rose colored glasses
Went away
