The next day
Mr. Yang is already waiting for Jisoo in the dean's office when she arrives wearing a white formal suit.
"Good morning Ms. Kim, here is your office key (207) and it's located on the 2nd floor next to Mr. Cha's office, you could get there by walking through the hallway where the cells are lined up, or you could go around the building. The patient details are placed on your desk and please come back here to sign the contract with me if you agree to treat the patient that you were assigned to. "
"Okay, thank you sir, I will do that as soon as possible."
Jisoo starts searching for her office since the offices are located in the back of the building far away from the cells. She decides to take a shortcut as Mr. Yang indicated---to walk through the hallway where the cells are kept.
After entering this section, Jisoo feels a bit weird. The hallway is dead silent, but she senses the lurking danger in the atmosphere and she doesn't like the feeling. Thankfully the hallways are filled with bright lighting so she doesn't think it's scary at all. Jisoo frowns a little when she hears a low roar in one of the cells but she doesn't flinch and just shrugs it off. What could do you expect from a mental hospital anyways.
"207? Ah it's right here, let me see wha..."
"Hi Ms, nice to meet you, I am Eunwoo." Jisoo is suddenly interrupted by a male voice.
"Hi, you must be Mr. Cha Eunwoo, as Mr. Yang told me. " Not wanting to call a stranger by his first name Jisoo politely refers him as Mr. Cha. "I am Jisoo Kim. Nice to meet you."
"So you are my new colleague Ms. Kim...Mr. Yang also told me about the new colleague a few minutes ago...so, feel free to ask me any questions or ask for help." He could feel Jisoo's distant yet polite attitude so he also decides to keep the boundary as colleagues.
"Okay, then see you around." Jisoo decides not to waste that much time and enters her office.
Her office is decorated in a minimalist way and everything is extremely organized, there are no colors, everything is either black, gray, or white, and Jisoo frowns again at this sight. Since she lives in a huge mansion with paintings, candles, and fresh flowers everywhere, it's a bit unusual to stay in this kind of environment. However, Jisoo is decided the second she enters the office that she will decorate her office herself later on.
"That must be the file then." Jisoo notices the gray folder on her white desk. She proceeds and opens the file.
"Patient name Jung Haein, Age 26, dang that's young, cell N67 traits...violent, extremely antisocial, extremely narcissistic, very strong physical power, slightly bipolar. Jesus Christ how come he is only 26 and with all these...weird. Ok focus now, danger scale 7/10, well it's not that bad, but damn. Possible treatment: Psychotherapy or CBT. Medication list...They gave him that much medication? How is he not dead by now... "
After babbling to herself while reading the file, she comes to the conclusion that he is aggressive and antisocial, hard to treat and VERY dangerous. Jisoo sighs because it's her first day working here and she doesn't want to lose her job. She knows from the research on this mental hospital that the majority of her colleagues are working with patients that are 10/10 or 9/10 dangerous and she only gets a 7/10. Jisoo is 120% sure that if she rejects this first offer Mr. Yang would probably kick her out of the mental hospital.
In the director's office
"Mr. Yang, I am ready to sign the contract."
"Good Ms. Kim, please sign it here and your uniform and working pass will be ready in 5 minutes, please wait here."
Jisoo inhales and exhales as if she's preparing to sign a live-or-die contract, then she carefully puts her signature on the indicated place. After she receives her uniform and pass, she walks through that hallway full of cells to get to her office.
"Oh my god I only have 30 minutes to prepare...My work starts at 9."
Jisoo quickly sits down and starts analysing the patient file more carefully while taking extensive notes. Then she rehearses for about how to greet the patient for about 5 times before she puts on her uniform, working pass and proceeds to the indicated cell.
Entering the cell
Jisoo clenches her fists on her uniform and gets herself mentally prepared before knocking (which has always been her habit) and entering the cell.
"Good morning Mr. Jung, I am Doctor Kim, nice to meet you." Jisoo tries to treat him as a normal person instead of her patient.
"GET, OUT."
