After Jisoo argues with Taehyung for almost 10 minutes, he finally agrees the break to be shortened to a week. He can't understand what Jisoo is made of. How is she still alive while working for more than 13 hours per day and even though she is way too skinny, she still manages to struggle through the days.
Almost 5 years ago, Taehyung starts his own company and quickly tops some of the markets in South Korea, but ever since he became the boss, he barely had any time to spend with his family. He didn't know that his dearly sister is going through such a turmoil and the fact that he wasn't there for a lot of important events that happened in Jisoo's life made him curse himself.
First day of the break
Jennie quits her studies for a week and Taehyung stops his work for a week too, they know that Jisoo is suffering and they all know that Jisoo loves her family more than anything else. So they plans a trip to Jeju Island to enjoy the last bit of summer.
Jisoo has been down for a long time now and she could barely walk fast now due to the tremendous stress in work. Taehyung sighs and carries Jisoo on his back while walking towards their private jet to fly to Jeju Island.
On the plane, they both try to make Jisoo speak but she refuses to open up herself and tell them what's going on and that's a problem. Jisoo is deep in her thoughts when Taehyung gently pats her shoulder signaling that they are landing.
Jisoo nods without saying anything.
Taehyung has ordered the beach to be closed when they are there because Jisoo needs a quiet environment. Jisoo is standing far away from Jennie and Taehyung and she just stares at the sea blankly. For ten minutes straight, she just stands there like a statue.
"Oppa, I don't think unnie is fine."
"No, she's not, I need to get her to talk Nini."
"Well I think it's better for me to go."
"Yeah you should try..." Taehyung looks at Jisoo and sighs because she has become so skinny that he thinks wind could potentially blow her away.
Jennie approaches Jisoo and as she walks closer, she could hear the quiet sobs and see the tears that drop down her chin.
"Unnie..." Jennie gives Jisoo a warm hug and Jisoo hugs her in return.
"Unnie, We are a family and you know we will support your decisions right?"
"Yes, but there is something I can't tell anyone about..." Jisoo hesitates.
"Unnie, then you don't need to tell us, but if you are getting tortured by something we would be so worried about you."
"My Nini, you don't have to worry about anything, I was just thinking about something if I'm silent. The stress is driving me crazy but I'll be done in just few months."
"What do you mean 'done in just a few months'? Your patient is recovering so fast!"
"No, I didn't mean it that way, I meant, I really regret going to the biggest and most dangerous psychiatry, I should have chosen somewhere else, there'll be less stress there and I won't be working so long everyday."
"Unnie! I gave you my advice but you didn't listen and that's your problem." Jennie smirks at Jisoo making her pout."Unnie, you don't have to handle that kind of jobs, just get a job at the central hospital, there are tons of psychiatrists there and barely any patients. And the patients aren't that severe, then you'll have time to recover." Jennie is always the "lightbulb" who has a solution to any problem.
