I'M SO SORRY

"Hello..." 

Haein's whole body stiffened while hearing the shaky voice from the other side of the phone.

"Jisoo?!" Haein whispers not wanting to believe what he has heard.

"Yes, it's me." 

Jisoo doesn't know what to begin with, so an awkward silence stays between them. 

"I'm sorry Haein, I'm so sorry. I am sorry that-"

"I'm not here to listen to your apologies Jisoo."

Tears fall silently on Jisoo's face. 

"Haein, I-"

"Why did you lie to me? Why did you leave me here in despair when you are somewhere else living the best of your life? Do you hate me that much?"

"I didn't mean to, trust me, I really don't. I'm afraid, I was worried about the future...My career and all that."

Jisoo speaks again after a long and dead silence.

"I miss you, so much." 

Haein could hear Jisoo's little sobs on the other side of the phone and he just wants to hold her tight in his arms right now. Even though there were times when he hated her with his whole heart, but a single syllable that comes out of her mouth after months is enough to heal his wounds and make him forgive everything she did. However, he is still mad at the fact that she lied to him.

"You should have known this on the day you left me."

The phone on Haein's side was cut. 

Jisoo sighs in despair. It seems to her that everything is too late now. 

I should've been braver back then...Now he hates me...I better move on, I know that continue waiting for him is a stupid idea, like he said, I deserved this the day I left him...

Just when she stops crying, she hears a knock on her door.

"Yes?"

"Jisooya, I'm your Tae oppa."

"Okay, come in."

When Taehyung comes in with some tea, he sees his little sister lying on the floor and he kneels down beside her.

"My angel, what's wrong?"

"Nothing oppa, I'm just tired, so freaking tired, I don't think I can hang out with Jimin oppa today." 

"Ok no problem, I'll tell him, take some rest okay? Drink some tea."

"Thanks oppa, I will."

Jisoo wraps herself in bed and falls asleep with a headache. The useful method to release stress that worked on her patients doesn't seem to work on herself. 

A month later

Jisoo throws Haein out of her mind and focuses on things around her. She has been doing a great job with her work, and she recollects her hobby of singing. The balance between her profession and passion just gives her so much energy. She decides to move on from the past and from Haein, because he made it clear that he hates her from the bottom of his heart now.

Jimin hangs out with Jisoo very often now, both Rosé and Taehyung secretly ships them, but unfortunately no matter how hard Jimin tries, Jisoo never does anything equally responsive. 

"Jisoo?" A light knock on the door is heard.

"Yes?"

"I'm Jimin."
