Heartbroken Fires

Whispered softly and gently, my intuition spoke,
A voice impossible to disregard or revoke,
It cautioned and warned, pleading with me,
That your true intentions were not what they seemed, you see.

Yet I, enthralled by your sweet and soothing words,
Believed every promise, like chirping birds,
Convincingly, you told me without hesitation,
That I was your everything, your ultimate aspiration.

But now, the truth unravels, like a rose's petals unfold,
Your deceit, your façade, every secret it holds,
You guided me astray, with your tangled desires,
Leaving me alone, engulfed in heartbroken fires.

Oh, the anguish of realizing I was merely a pawn,
In your love game, where genuine feelings were gone,
My intuition, it mournfully weeps and sighs,
As I gather the broken pieces, where trust slowly dies.

No longer blinded, my vision has become crystal clear,
The treacherous path you devised, now so severe,
A lesson engraved, my intuition strengthens, becomes bold,
Guarding my heart, never again to be easily controlled.
